Perfect for Medical Center
I was alone and had to stay for medical tests, which, of course, took longer than expected. The hotel staff were very kind and welcoming, the shuttle was fantastic, and I felt very safe and comfortable. Room could have been cleaner, especially bathroom, but grounds were very nice. Loved the outdoor tables, which I can envision being used in warmer weather by those confined to the rooms. A picnic would brighten any day when medical procedures loom!

Use the shuttle! Parking at Med Center is expensive, and the shuttle actually goes to a nearby grocery store, so light meals in room are possible.

It should be a $ 100.00 a nite not $28 a nite fantastic Hotel and even better staff if that's possible.

try someone else
mold in bathroom ,lites not working,no or bad sockets thats because there was only one socket i the mold filled bathroom.

Excellent hotel.
I had a room for one night while in Houston. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and fully equipped. I did not experience any problem with noise as some reviewers did but I did sleep with the air conditioner fan blowing all night so that may have covered any traffic noise. I will definitely stay here again!

Across the street from Reliant Center. Easy walking distance to Metro rail if you need to go to the Museums, Houston Zoo, or Medical Center hospitals and save on parking fees.

Not what I expected
Room was small, old, & not well stocked! Bed was miserable & so was the a/c. Would have been more comfortable in my car!!!

Okay, but not as good as last year.
I usually like this hotel and come here every year. It's only a couple blocks from the Medical Center, Rice, several museums, and the zoo. It's gated and far enough away from the numerous highways that plague Houston, that one can actually get some sleep at night. Having said that, it does suffer in a couple areas. Unlike most hotels, it does not have a pool or a gym. And this year, my room was awfully warm despite the A/C blowing at full tilt.

GOOD VALUE AND LOCATION
The hotel was clean and quite (walls are thin and we could hear the people next door but they settled in and weren't heard again). They are set up as an extended stay but we were only there over night but I did see the front desk person delivering pots and pans to a couple of rooms. Would stay here again. If you have business in the Texas Medical Center, they provide free shuttle service which saves paying a garage parking fee (and the traffic frustrations).
