Holiday Inn Houston South Loop

Hotel was perfect for going to the Houston Texans game. Parking lot opens up on the backside to walk right into the staduim. I had a parking pass for the game but the hotel lot was more convenient and closer than my pass and it was free for being a hotel guest. So it was hassle free, no traffic, no hunting for my lot. It was just a really great value, and hassle free. There was 1 dark cloud on my trip, nothing to do with the hotel, the City of Houston decided to turn off the water in the area so the hotel lost water, luckily we had taken our showers early , but had to melt ice in coffee pot to brush our teeth. Not smart, City of Houston!

Toured Texas. Better internet service. It was overall good.

I went to see the doctor, and this hotel has a great location, all the persons are very kind, and they made our stay more enjoyable.

Employees were very pleasant, room was as nice as I hoped it would be, bed was comfortable.

No problems at all...room,lobby,bar, everything fine.

beds are one most important features in a hotel and this hotel failed.

I went to Houston to visit a friend and to get away. I was impressed with the staff; very good customer service, the location was just perfect; it was close by the downtown area and other entertainment places. I just wish they had free breakfast, but that is no big deal since there are so many restaurants next to the hotel. I got my money's worth and I would definitely recommend it.

3.5 stars are correct... ;) I would have preferred a smaller and cheaper room for a single Person. I had two king size beds for myself - wasted money. Besides that it was a solid Hotel. Not too chic or brand new but okay. Close to nearly everything. With free wifi a good place to get to know the city or search for a permanent place to stay, as I did. The staff was very friendly, helped me with some traffic questions and stuff. Also nice: nearby are many food stores (Subway, Freebird Burritos, ...) View on Reliant Stadium was awesome. :)

The location is what brings my husband and I back year after year - we are Houston Texan football fans and it is adjacent to Reliant Stadium. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff are polite but it is nothing spectacular in any way, shape, or form. The hotel does show it's age in the rooms, our latest had obviously had a water leak at some point since the ceiling had hanging popcorn in a few areas and an obvious water ring.

I picked this hotel because of its location, near the reliant center. The hotel stay was great. But did have a bad experence not any fault to the hotel or staff. Someone broke my daughers passenger window dented the real quarter panel and store her lab top computer. All this in board daylight near 0900 in the morning. Cannot blame the hotel staff they were great helping us with the clean up and made us breakfast. Will stay there again. Will not let this stop us from staying there.
