Mostly good
The hotel was located near the facility where I had to take a class. It was close to the highway and only a short driving distance to restaurants. Despite being close to the street and highways, it was not noisy. The hotel was upgraded nicely and clean. The staff was very friendly. There was food served on the premises, as well as a bar for cocktails. For the price, it was a decent hotel.

Short drive from hotel
I went and checked out the Boiling Crab and Texas Land & Cattle Steak House. Both provided a great atmosphere as well as delicious food.

Distance from Airport not clairified
The hotel was great except for the fact it cost me 160.00 for cab fair because when I chose the Hotel it said it was 9.1 miles from Airport but was actually 9.1 miles from down town. Not goood.....very disappointed [...]

Great staff
The staff were friendly, personable, and helped us when we needed it. This is what made the stay so pleasant. The room was large enough for the sleeping area, but very tight in the entrance and dressing area.

Excellent Hotel Staff
The hotel staff was excellent. They assisted us in every way they could and helped us in locating items of interest that we asked them about. The entire staff was extremely courteous. The room was clean when we arrived and the staff was attentive in any needs that we told them about. The only issue that we had was there were no towels at the pool when we went, but other than that, an excellent experience all around.

Short drive from hotel
It is a good drive to down town Houston, so be aware of that if you will be traveling into the city. Also take into account the traffic when making plans.

Not all Holiday Inns Are the Same
My stay at this Holiday Inn was horrible. There seems to be no communication between the staff, the hotel has issues. I also want to warn others about the constant drilling that occurs sometime after 8 a.m, even on the weekends because the hotel is under construction. Forget calling the front desk for a wake up call, because they will forget. Instead forget staying at this Holiday Inn, not all are bad, but this one should be shut down immediately.

Awesome indoor pool
The hotel is under renovation during our stay. The carpet is old and you can see the wear and tear. The beds were uncomfortable. We got by for the two evenings that we were there. The kids have a blast at the indoor pool facility. The hotel has an indoor and an outdoor pool. It rained all weekends and we were able to use the indoor pool. Our goal for the stay was to find a hotel close to Houston Chinatown and this hotel is perfect. Its location is about 10 minutes away. Overall we have a great time. The indoor pool made up for a rainy weekend. I would love to stay at the same hotel next time when they are done with their renovation.
