Hilton Houston Westchase

Water was luke warm. There were holes in carpet going down the halls. Toilet had a problem flushing.

First day was uncomfortable with bathroom sink not draining, maintenance came to fix leaving with horrible smell like raw sewer, but the sink still not draining, was moved to another room the next day with the room temperature like freezing while the thermometer indicating at maximum 90 degrees. We called the front desk for maintenance repeatedly to no avail. Maintenance response was very slow, we were late for our appointment with our friends who was picking us up. The maintenance worker when asked why it took so long was very contentious saying I should called the front desk for another room instead, since we are unhappy.

We got a very good room. I was hoping I got this room at a lower rate, but the over-all experience made up for this fault.

Staff was very friendly throughout stay. Rio Ranch restaurant has definite southwestern flare so inquire if you are not used to. Pricey but the meats are great. Quesadillas were trying too hard...just needed some good simple Tex Mex. Excellent breakfast - OJ is fresh squeezed - eggs supurb - bacon extra thick and meaty. Burgers were awesome. Caesar Salad missed it. Room comfortable. Bed Spread was tired. Bed was unbelievably comfortable and made up for any misgivings. Bathroom very nice. Room had slight dank odor to it and A/C kicked on and off noticeably which was a little annoying. Rooms are paper thin, so ask for a room away from others if possible. Overall good and I'd go back just to sleep on that bed with those pillows again.
