Convenient location for Medical Center area
I was in Houston just for a 2 day nursing observation experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The location and complimentary shuttle to and from the hospital was super convenient and short trip each day. The hotel was clean, the room comfortable, free wireless internet and breakfast - so a great value for the money. The only disappointing thing is that - there is nothing near the hotel (no shops, stores, and only one restaurant - which was the only place to get food - next to hotel). No room service - although there is a room service menu in the room welcom binder.

Not a good hotel
Poor, apathetic customer service. A number of maintenance issues. Very poor food served at breakfasts.

Great price and location
Great hotel for the price. It was very close to the TMC. Breakfast was good and convenient. Room was very clean and well mantained. staff was very serious and over the phone were not very nice but overall it was a good stay.

What a Steal!!!
Great Overall Service. Awesome Complimentary Breakfast. Prime Location - Next to Rice University. Had stuff delivered and it arrived on time and intact. Friendly service.

Great Location for Stadium!
Can see Reliant Stadium from hotel, so it is a great location. We went to see the NCAA Elite Eight game and it was a perfect place to stay. Rooms were clean and nice.

Short drive from hotel
We also went out the night before and it was really close to Houston nightlife. If you like country music, highly reccomend the Firehouse. Have great live Texas Country music.

free shuttle to medical center did not run before 9 am on weekends. My business meetings at the medical center started at 7 am. I needed to take taxis. Their promoted free shuttle to medical center was of little benefit to me

Relaxing
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. Being from the country, I expected it to be noisy around there, but it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Everyone there was very helpful and polite. The free breakfast was great...a lot of options. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Everything we needed
We like staying at Hampton Inn hotels because they are clean, roomy, and have breakfast included (a major plus so you don't have to go out to eat or spend $25 on room service or hotel restaurant). They even had a crib for our toddler so we didn't have to haul the pack'n'play - very convenient. And knowing that toiletries like shampoo and conditioner would be there meant less we had to pack for the flight (because anyone who has flown recently knows what a pain it is with all the liquid restrictions). The staff was friendly and helpful and had a really nice selection of breakfast items. I would recommend this to anyone.
