No warning, no water, and no help!!!!!
I booked this last minute trip to houston to visit ailing family for the holidays. When we arrived on Friday everything seemed fine. The room was clean and the hotel seemed calm. On our second day we left early in the morning to meet family and spend the morning together. In the afternoon I arrived back to my room to put my toddler down for her afternnon nap about 1pm to find that house keeping had already visited the room but had only replaced one of the soiled towels and the bed had not been made. I placed the do not disturb sign on the door and placed my child in the crib so she could nap only to have house keeping come knocking on the door 30 minutes later waking my daughter up from her nap so they could finish the job on the bathroom they had originally started. After her nap we left again to have dinner with family, returning at just after 8 pm where we passed the front desk check in person who politely greeted us as we passed to our room. After getting undresssed, feeding my daughter a quck snack I tried to wash her hands and brush her teeth only to find there was only a trickle of foul smelling, cloudy yellow water from the sink and no other running water from any of the facilities. After redressing and hauling my tired cranky toddler to the front desk I was greeted by a young woman who said she was aware of the issue, that they had been working on the plumbing issue for a while now and expected to have some water supply back sometime tomorrow afternoon. To which I replied "but my check out is tomorrow morning at 11am". All she could say was yes miss. I had to pry and ask what she expected I should do since not using the restroom or water of any kind was not an option especially with a toddler. She told me she could call next door and see if they could put me up, this left me going back to my room to pack all of my belongings and carry my now psychotic toddler across the street after 10 o'clock at night, might I add with no assistance from anyone at this facility to check in else where. I had previously stayed at the Hampton chain of hotels and had great experiences but will seriously reconsider my future lodging with any of my next travel's.

Over night stay with some friends
We stayed one night with a bunch of our car team friends. The following day we had a car show across the street. The location was great. There was a outback steak house right outside the hotel and a walmart just down the street. So we had everything we needed right around us. We had a great time there and the bed were very comfortable. The only problem we had was the even staff was a little unhelpful. But we will definatly stay there again.

Clean and Quiet
The Hampton was right of 45 and surrounded my restaurants, the room was clean but did not include an HD T.V inside our room, which I am quiet used to but settled for. Front desk could have been a little more friendly but was overall a nice stay.

When I went to my room I ...
When I went to my room I found a barking dog (dogs are not supposed to be allowed in the rooms) and a person in the room. I returned to the check in desk. I told the clerk and she said there is no one in the room and there are no other rooms available. I went with the clerk back to the room. She found the same thing and told me there were no more rooms and dogs are not allowed. I asked to speak to the manager and sat and waited with my luggage in the lobby. Much later, she said she had a room for me. This experience occurred between 11:30 PM and lasted until 2AM before I had a room. This is after dealing all day with delayed cross country flights. I am a 71 year old female traveling alone, in a strange city, in a rental car. This type of service should not be allowed at a Hampton Inn.
