I was there today.
I have stayed at the Four Seasons chain for several years now. I usually go to the one in Nayarit, Mexico. It's a resort rather than a hotel and they never cease to amaze me. I had to be in Houston for a few days and I decided to stay at the Four Seasons. As soon as I stepped out of my car and was greeted by the valet I was greeted: "Welcome to the Four Seasons, Sir" and I knew I could expect top-notch service as I would in any 5 star hotel. The doors were opened for us everywhere we went. Our bags were taken up and our car was valet. Standard for this hotel. The lobby looked great, but not the common "Grand" entrance in comparison to other Four Seasons hotels I've stayed at. I was processed really quick to get my room key. The lady walked me to the elevator explaining all the hotel's amenities such as the out-door pool (which unfortunately I did not get to try out due to the rainy weather), gym, and the italian restaurant. Very courteous. I went up the elevator and got to my floor, which as many have commented looks rather old. Not in a classy-old, but rather in a way that you can tell they have put off hotel maintenance, restoration, and remodeling. I stayed at a Hilton in post oak blvd in houston with nicer hallways/decor. The room was nice, as I would expect. Very neat and great bedding. Including all the ammenities you would expect from a Four Season such as the sandals (his/her), the bathrobes, news paper, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, etc. By now we had our bags delivered by the bag service gentleman. The decor of the room was nice, but like I said, I have stayed at nicer hiltons. The Four Season should be in the same "playing field" as a St. Regis or a Ritz but the rooms are not even close. I don't complaint so much being that I paid about $170 for the night and $30 valet parking per day in comparison to $700 a day in the Four Seasons in Mexico. The concierge was great they are very helpful in getting anything from reservations to exotic car rentals to pretty much anything you want. The food was great. I highly recommend the lobster pannini they have to share. It was great! Overall, the service was great, food was great, value was great. I would go there again but this hotel shouldn't really be called a "four seasons" until they heavily remodel. End of story. Still, I'd visit again

Got a good price on the room. However it didn't include internet which cost another $6 a day or breakfast. The stuff is very good and responsive and location was good as well.

Good experience but service was subpar
The room was very nice and facilities were excellent but the little things were missing. no coffee was ready in the morning and people were very upset. the staff member in charge of it was being very rude and impatient with patrons. Several items ordered poolside were forgotten. This is not what you would expect out of the Four Seasons

Great place in downtown Houston!
Lots of stuff to do within walking distince of the hotel. We were able to walk to our concert. Everything is REALLY nice. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Drinks are a little pricey. Don't stay here if you are traveling on the cheap. You will be disappointed.

Terrible Experience
We visited the Four Seasons downtown Houston because of the quality of the hotel and proximity to the Rockets game. The pool was roped off with bright yellow caution tape during the entire time we were at the hotel. The explanation from the General Manager was "to prevent intoxicated guests from drowning". Since when does a 5 star hotel disable a feature of the hotel with yellow caution tape? I wrote a letter to the hotel corporation - no response. This "5 Star Hotel" needs four stars deleted from the title. Disturbing experience we'll never repeat. We travel constantly and would have been repeat guests if this terrible experience would have not occured.

Excellent location in downtown
Excellent location in downtown Houston. About a half block's walk from the Toyota Center and several other points of interest. Staff was very kind, however seemed to be lacking on some basic amenities, mostly that you had to purchase wifi perday, but not something that would cause you to steer clear of the location. I spent a weekend there and it provided the perfect little getaway for my wife and I.
