Four Points by Sheraton Houston Southwest

Besides free bottled water in the room, location, and a comfy bed, the overall appearance of the hotel left a lot to be desired in the terms of cleanliness and a polished look, which I have come to expect from a Starwood Property. My front desk lady could stand to polish her people skills as well.

Overall I guess I got what I paid for. The price was right, super cheap, but the room and staff left a little to be desired. The women's restroom in the lobby stank like rotten gym socks, my bathroom door in my room wouldn't close and the sink smelled of mildew every time I ran the faucet. The staff wasn't terrible, but they did fail to mention the $100 hold they put on your card until they presented the room keys. Even though I had book through Orbitz, they still required a credit card for a $100 hold in case we destroyed the room. I booked through another site at The Four Seasons and that wasn't required, which I found odd given The Four Seasons is a much nicer hotel.

The hotel is what I have come to expect from Four Points. If there was one thing that I would have to criticize, it would have to be that my room was right by the stairwell, and throughout the one night that I was there, the door to the stairwell would slam shut when peolpe would enter. Other than that, clean, quiet and reasonably priced.

Room is good. Service is fine. Price is nice. However, the hotel is adjacent to the freeway and the noise from car is substantial. The Air Condition is even more noisy, (but covers the car noise also.)

Hotel was one of the best ive stayed at! Staff was very attentive and took care of every need. I will definetly stay there again!

location is good, easy access to all major hiways, quiet didnt hear anyone in hall ways, only thing missing was refrigerator in room

Beds were good and seemed clean. The room was a bit warm despite the thermostat being set pretty low. No explanation from the front desk about why the temperature wouldn't drop as expected. Room had the feel of an older hotel but they served up some free coffee in the morning and the staff generally seemed willing to help. It was a bit odd when they said, "Park anywhere you like but please don't leave anything valuable in your car." The TV left something to be desired. The channel changing response time was mighty slow and the volume would not go below 15 (pretty quiet but still). Mute did function, just odd to lower bound the volume value. The requested crib was not there at check-in but staff got it there quick enough so that was a good mark in their favor ultimately.

My stay was incredible everything ran smooth only downfall was the noise coming from the freeway. Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous and location was prime.

I had to change rooms and almost checked out of this hotel the first night because my bed sheets were damp. Then I noticed they were actually wet on one side. Not a complainer, I simply thought the dryer didnt run long enough and the sheets werent allowed to dry so I switched sides of the bed and went to sleep. the next morning I wondered why only one side of the bed was wet, so I smelled the wet side and it was URINE! I was disgusted. The manager tried to help but a free breakfast didnt do me justice. I wont be staying here again even if it's free. Also the A/C in the room was set at 60F and it obviously didnt work...even after I switched rooms after the first night. Both rooms were hot with the A/C running all hours at 60F.
