This is silly...
Decent...not great
I suppose it has a lot to do with the area it was in, but from the time you pull into the parking lot you know this is not going to be high quality in spite of the name. The staff was very friendly and polite; but the hotel is undergoing some apparently long overdue renovations and there is no effort being made to hide the work. Common areas (lobby, hallways, etc) are dirty and unattractive...so I was surprised that the room was as nice as it was...or was it just the contrast between the two? Not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but I'll probably test a different hotel if I find myself in the area again.

Good but needs improvements
I stayed at this hotel to visit friends and relatives for a weekend. Two of my relatives also stayed in the hotel so I have their opinions to add into this review on a separate room on a different floor. Both rooms were super clean. The beds were soft properly made with proper sheets, no cheats as some cheaper hotels do with using a flat sheet for a fitted sheet. The only real problem that knocked off a star was that the air conditioners are loud and sound like an air compressor is next to the wall. You have to turn the unit completely off and wake up to a stuffy room in the morning, this was the case in both rooms. A second star was knocked off because to use the tv and standard channels you were charged extra, [...]. Also, they charged for a basic breakfast, I find it silly that cheaper hotels have a free continental breakfast but this nicer hotel can not do the same. My relatives who did not book through orbits did pay a higher rate but were initially given an already occupied room. This was quickly fixed. The hotel is going under remodeling on several rooms and while you did see a slight mess on the floor outside the rooms or the elevators being redone you did not hear anyone working, even though you saw workers in the hotel.

Nice & Clean
We expected refrigerator in the room, the hotel front desk said that it's on request only, first come first serve. We did not think about this since it was the last minute booking, no time to check on that. We assumed that the hotel with this brand would have the refrigerator in every room.

Four Points was OK
My friend found this room for us, it was only a 5 to 7 minute drive to Harwin shopping district and we were able to come and go easily. The front desk was not manned all the time, and you had to get their attention for someone to come to the front. The Hotel was very clean and the room was of good size. The mattresses and pillows were of high quality and despite the A/C not being as cold as we wanted it to be, we slept comfortably.

Clean Room, Great Location
This hotel is a little shabby on the outside and could use some landscaping, but the inside was perfect. Everything was clean and the staff was willing to help in any way they could. It is in a great location near downtown and the Galleria. The bathrooms were small and the wifi only works in the lobby. They do supply a router in your room for you to hook up to but it is a little more trouble. However, I did not like that you have to leave either a $50 cash deposit or your credit card at the time of check in. It is just in case you break something but I felt like you should be warned before you book. All in all, I would stay there again.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Eat at Yia Yia Mary's. Wonderful greek food. Pappa Bros Steakhouse is good but not worth the money. Papasitos Mexican has amazing made before your eyes avacado/guacamole dip. And of course, you must stop by The Cheesecake Factory for a slice of cheesecake.

business trip
This property is a bit "tired" however the rooms seem to have been recently updated and renovated. The room was large with a very comfortable bed.

handy location
great overall value @ $65/night except for houston hotel tax of 16%! easy access self-parking which is a must for me...nice room, but bathroom was full handicap setup with inconvenient hand-held shower head @ chest level.... yes, would stay there again.
