Quick trip

Beds and pillows quite comfortable. Main issues---water in shower never got hot, and The sink and tub were slow to drain. Has old chain lock on door (vs the metal security lock that newer hotels have now.)

Great place for an over-nighter

Didn't get luxury, but wasn't seeking it. My stay was based on location due to a funeral. Hotel was very clean, bed was very comfortable and had so many pillows that I found just the ones I needed. Breakfast was very good even though the dining area was full of a kids' baseball team and their families. I would definitely go back.

Gem by the Freeway

People who travel a lot look for convenience; if you own the business, you also look for price deals. This hotel is a good combination of both. It offers free Wi-Fi and a hot breakfast (with scrambled eggs and meat) and that's a savings of about $35 over most "big name" hotels. The prices are reasonable. The incredibly helpful person at the desk arranged cab service that was so incredibly polite and honest that I called him back at the end of the day and happily waited 30 minutes. Yes, it's next to the freeway, yes you can hear it. For me, it was a pleasant white noise that put me to sleep in a comfy bed. I'd rather hear a freeway than crying babies or shouting adults. And I heard none of that. Hotel is close to DFW, walking distance to food choices.

They deliver what they say they'll deliver

Comfortable, quiet room. Complimentary family friendly happy hour and hot breakfast. Friendly staff. I arrived two hours before check-in. The manager was happy to check and see if my room had been cleaned yet. I felt as though these people take the words "accommodation" and "hospitality" seriously.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

The taquerias in Pasadena serve good, fresh, inexpensive food. No frills, but the ones I visited were friendly and clean, and the food was delicious.

Great staff!!

Drury Inn was a wonderful experience for us! I have never stayed at a hotel with such a friendly and helpful staff. They were all soo nice. We had no problems during our stay, so I dont know what the response to that would have been, but I just cant say enough about the nice staff at the front desk and snack area. Our room was also spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom area was immaculately clean too. The only lower scores I would give was that the neighborhood (south Houston) is run-down, but if you have to stay in this area, Drury Inn is the place to be!

Great Hotel..great price...friendly staff!

I was only here for a day but the staff was very friendly at all times. Rooms were clean. Manager on duty, Ms. Denise Miller was a superb host!! She greeted everyone with a very big hello as if she'd known you forever. Very friendly and made you feel at home. Food was okay. Enjoyed the fact that you could get a full complimentary breakfast and dinner buffet and not just a snack. Not to mention free happy hour in the evenings to go with the buffet.!! I would definitely come back to this hotel when I'm in the area again. Thanks again Ms. Miller for everything.

Pleasant Stay

My stay was only one night, but was pleasant. The location of the hotel makes it quite easy to get to; which is nice, considering how difficult it can be to navigate Houston if you are not familiar with the area. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Nothing too special in the way of amenities, although the free popcorn and soda in the lobby is a nice if you do not want to pay for snack food. The workout room is OK, if you would like to get some exercise in, but it is small. I did not use the indoor pool. I would gladly stay at this hotel again for another short stay.

A conference visit

I was in Houston for a conference. The hotel has a very good rating so I decided to try it out. It was indeed restful and peaceful. The hotel has free hot breakfast and dinner among other wonderful things. It is certainly a good place to stay.

not terrible, for the price

I was only there about 12 hr, getting in too late for the complimentary food. The clerk at the desk was friendly but the overall impression I got was dreary. Breakfast was adequate but not particularly tasty and disappointing overall. Again, staff was friendly and helpful, including helping me when I could not find my room key. Taxi to airport was paid for (actual taxi, not hotel shuttle), very nice. No food service available in hotel late at night. I was directed to a sad fast food Mexican place within easy walking distance. Again, people were friendly, better than the food they served. The only available outlet I could find would not securely hold plug so I unplugged a lamp.
