Good for the price
The room had bed in one room and kitchen/restroom/tv/couch and chairs in another. Not the most modern but clean and cheap. It looks a little worn. Halfway between Beltway 8 and 610 on 290 for easy traveling around Houston. Night staff was a little grumpy but day staff was very nice and pleasant. It worked out great. Noticed pets staying there too but never heard them.

Pappadeaux - great seafood. Pappasitos - great Mexican food. TGIF, Red Lobster, Chili's, the Brick House Tavern all right across the freeway.

The worst!!!
The room smelled like smoke. The bed sheets and covers had holes in them. The bathroom door had a small hole in it. The bed under the sheet was just nasty. I would add more to what it looked like but I'm guessing you will get the idea.

A reasonably priced place to stay.
The hotel is obviously past its time in terms of quality of facilities. It was quiet, clean, and well positioned for access to all of Houston. It was very easy to find and the staff were very easy to work with. There are several eating places within easy travel distance and the freeway (290) is easily reached by a nearby freeway entrance. There are some big department/food stores within a mile of the motel. With a small kitchenette in the room, there were some old food odors in the room that could have been eliminated with some sort of deodorizer. Overall, as in most cases, you get what you pay for. It was a good medium cost accomodation.

Good value
I was concerned because of some reviews I'd read but was pleasantly surprised. For a very reasonable rate (an Orbitz package deal), you can't beat it. Clean, a/c worked great, good sized kitchenette with dining table and a full-sized refrigerator. No daily maid service but that's disclosed up front. Also, numerous dining choices nearby and easy access to the freeway. I'd recommend it to friends/family who were travelling on business.

Basic hotel for a short non-leisure stay
Good value for the money, location was very convenient for us. Not only is it close to where we needed to be, it is also in the area where a lot of restaurants are. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room decor was rather outdated; the hotel needs some renovation. I would recommend the hotel for people who are in Houston Galleria area for a short time on business.

Right next to the hotel is a very reasonably-priced BBQ restaurant. Great option if you're too tired to drive anywhere for dinner as driving in Houston can be rather tiresome.

Cheap room....you GET what you PAY for!
It was a package deal..close to where we needed to be...but, this is just an OLD MOTEL WITH SMALL ROOMS and NO ROOM AMENITIES AT ALL..... Everyone was nice though...but, we would NOT ever return ...just BECAUSE...
