Welcoming yet unconventional approaches to accommodations ensure that the Club Quarters in Houston is a unique boutique hotel. Comfort and practicality are in the details, from the de rigueur premium sheets and LCD TVs, to the iPod docks and fitness equipment room service - yoga kits can indeed be delivered to your door. Superior rooms and suites come with kitchenettes, to scratch those late night craving itches, while club and standard rooms have microwaves and fridges on offer - just ask front desk staff. Casual dining is served up in the Table 7 Bistro, where guests can choose from the 'zesty' menu, with waffles, omelets, brunch plates and full breakfasts in the mornings, plus a diverse selection of lunch and dinner dishes.

Neighborhood
Few accommodations can claim to be deep in the heart of Texas, but the Club Quarters Hotel Houston can legitimately do so, as it sits in the center of the state's largest city. Within half a mile of the front door, you'll find a 12-acre public park for jogging and walking trails, high-end shopping, and the Theater District - an area where music and current stage productions echo through the streets. Neighboring patio bars and pubs provide a great place to unwind after a day of exploring local attractions as the sun sets over Houston.

If you're feeling hungry for both food and inspiration, head to the lounge for complimentary snacks and drinks while relaxing, or being happily productive at the hotel's workstations.

Baseball fans should check the Houston Astros' schedule before visiting, as the hotel is just a short distance from Minute Maid Park.

Below average experience

Hotel was in a great location. And the room was very clean. We pulled up and ran inside to ask about parking. The girl at the front desk was pretty rude and just said they don't have parking. Only $25 to valet. I guess she assumed we weren't guest there because the rate for valet is $21 if you are a guest at the hotel. But she didn't even ask. So we valeted the car. The valet guys were very very nice!! They told us a couple of good places to go to eat. Once we got inside to check in. Not one girl at the front desk said "hello how are you?" Or greeted us in any way. We stood there, the only ones standing there and finally one girl said "last name?" Im guessing that's the way people say hello in Houston. Not sure. The room was small but clean. No ironing board or iron in room. They make you go to a closet yourself and get that to being to your room. Overall the stay was okay. Besides the rude staff. I won't book another stay at that hotel again though.

Good for a one-night away

I stayed for Valentine's Day. It was within walking distance of the Toyota Center, which is where we went to see a concert. I'm glad I could walk there because traffic is unreal! The parking is NOT free. I was charged an extra $25, which the hotel is "sorting out" right now. The rooms are tiny. The toilet did not flush. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly, though. They were helpful and quick to serve all who came to the desk. Overall, I probably would stay here again if I knew I was going to need the convention center on a busy night, but I wouldn't stay if I was just visiting Houston.

Great stay

I stayed here for the Houston Marathon and it was the perfect location. About 4 blocks from the start and finish was a huge convenience. I found on the weekends it wasn't very lively in the area where this hotel is located. It seemed like it was more of the financial district, which meant some restaurants were only open the 9-5 Monday-Friday. The staff was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved having a little kitchen in there, was a nice convenience for us runners. Valet parking was very convenient and not much hassle. Was about $20/day.

Not as expected!

The room was too small and the bed was not comfortable. The bathroom was small too. They provided soap instead of shower gel. Price was expensive too.

Sweet surprise upgrade..

Booked standard room was upgraded due to occupancy to a 2 room suite. Great space, clean nice kitchenette. If I had to pick the only issues I can come up with is all 3 Keurig pods were decaf, but there was a tea bag that supplied my caffeine, no creamer was avail and there was no garbage can in the kitchen. To me all super small issues, and I'm sure if I called down that would have being rectified. Absolutely, we stay again when I come to town for business.

Good for the price.

The hotel was good for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to get takeout pizza without having to go to the lobby.

Relaxed atmosphere

I truly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this location to anyone looking for downtown accommodations. The rail service is nearby and got me to the Museum District in no time. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, I had the Panko Shrimp appetizer for din er and a really tasty garden omellete for breakfast. The bartender also makes a great Manhattan.
