Candlewood Suites HOUSTON BY THE GALLERIA

this hotel was great, i would refer all of my family and friends there

A group of us travelled to Houston for a conference at a nearby hotel. The Suites was just around the corner from all the other hotels and not difficult to get to from the conference center or the airport. The biggest problem was the lack of housekeeping since it is an extended stay. When you are on vacation, you prefer that added little touch of having someone clean for you but there is no housekeeping really at all. You can change out sheets and blankets yourself with the front desk if you would like. The front desk doesn't stay open 24hrs which is also a detriment, BUT I did like the open "pantry" as well as the free DVD rentals. The internet was aslow and shotty connection though.

my car was broken into and had stay extra days to wait for part for my car and was required to pay those days! and they said i had to say there for 7 days before they would clean my room!

I arrived late, the late check in was fast using the lock boxes, the staff was friendly

loved easy and inexpensive food in pantry- convenient workout room. quiet and private, large room with full kitchen

I had to go to MD Anderson for a checkup. I chose to stay at this location because it was located by the Galleria and only 10 minutes from the medical center(without traffic). We usually stay in the medical center but always have to put up with the noise of sirens. Even though this hotel is located by the highway there was no traffic noises or sirens. It was great.

THE HOTEL DID NOT LOOK LIKE IT DID ON THE WEB SITE! THE HOTEL WAS NOT VERY CLEAN OR UP TO DATE. THE SMELL OF THE HOTEL WAS VERY STALE & NOT REFRESHING. THERE WAS NOT AN ICE MACHINE SODA'S WERE 2 & 3 DOLLARS. THE OVERALL STAY WAS HORRIBLE.I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

The bed was too small and ther was doble bed rooms.

I thought the room was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I was in town for a conference in the galleria area-so the location was great and the price was just right. It was really all we needed for a 2 night stay. You can see it from the freeway but, it was a tad tricky to get to...but they may have been why it was priced so well.

It was like a one bedroom apartment. Two TVs, living, dining, and bedroom for a great price. I was really pleased, and that a company believes in the honor system for the convenience store.
