Baymont Inn and Suites Houston Hobby AP

Nice hotel for the price; new, very comfortable bed; bigger-than-usual room and bathroom; free, fast WiFI (yea!); excellent location if flying in/out of Hobby, though not located in the best area of Houston; not really conveniently located to where/what I needed in Houston but it was a good price and the free WiFi was a must-have (having to pay for WiFi is very annoying to me; these days WiFi should be gratis)

I am from New York City and went to Houston (3 days)for business. The Baymont Suites was appropriate for me. It is about 3 miles from Hobby Airport. You're able to get to Downtown Houston in minutes or head down 45 South into Galveston. There was free parking at the hotel. Now, although the hotel is near the Gulf Freeway, it is secluded way in the back free from noise. First, the hotel has a beautiful outer appearance. The design of the front(face) looks like a southern mansion (white) with bright brown bricks (looks like cobblestones) paving the entrance in a circular pattern. The receptionists appear quite friendly and eager to assist you in whatever you need. I stayed on the first floor close to an inviting outdoor pool. My room was clean from beds, floor to bathroom. Just to note--this is a clean air environment, a no-smoking policy is adhered to and it really adds to the overall freshness and feel of the place. Also-- ample towels and a working iron was present in my room. Compared to the Sun suites and other similarly priced hotels--Baymont provides higher quality accommodation. I recommend this hotel to anyone. It is clean, ideal location, affordable and comfortable!

My experience was wonderful. You have to be careful with what you leave in the room.

Located very close to the Houston-Hobby airport. The room seemed quite small, but adequate for one or two people. The bathroom was a handicapped accessible (not by my request and I'm not quite ready for that, yet, thank goodness). The bathtub handle came off in my hand as I turned it on -- can't understand how the tub could have functioned for whomever cleaned it last. . . . However, they were VERY quick to fix it, but I was surprised the repairman didn't do the same to the other faucet as it was about to fall off, too. Mattress was really good -- got a great night's sleep. The motel is well set back from the main street and somewhat hard to find. Be sure to take the phone number so you can call to get directions on your cell. Morning's cont. breakfast was nothing special either -- juice, coffee, toaster waffles, cereal. Pool looked very nice, but it was too cold to take a dip for me. All-in-all just OK. If you're looking for someplace based on price, you'll be happy. If you want something a bit more comfortable especially for a couple of days or more, you'd probably be happier elsewhere.

The room and staff were great.

the staff was warm, helpful, and friendly. The room was spacious an clean. The location was very close to the airport and near lots of food places.

Fairly priced, competently staffed, a great experience for the 2 days we stayed there.

We were there for evaluation at MD Anderson Cancer Center. First room was to be non-smoking but you could smell someone was smoking in there. Our room was changed. The next room the toilet wouldn't flush and almost flooded the bathroom. Call was made to front desk but Maintenance came in the evening of the following day and said it was okay but you have to hold the handle down until it flushes completely. Stains on carpet floor. Received two wake up calls at 3 and 4 am, but we did not request a wake up call. Tried to contact front desk but was not available for almost two hours. TV images were dark red. Again is was not until the second evening that someone came and adjusted the TV. Caulking around tub was dirty. Overall not very clean. Spoke to Manager about these problems. She was very nice[...]

Good price. Nice large rooms. Clean.
