Just for the night Hotel

Me and my wife were visiting houston for 2 days and wanted some place close to the Nasa space center for the night. This hotel was resonably priced, close to the Nasa center, average in comfirt and cleanliness. Stafff and other hotel guests were okay. The breakfast was lame and the place had too many people in a small place. We didn't enjoy queing up to grab a piece of toast. The price and location were the only two factors which we liked about this place.

quick business trip

My father and I were there one night from California. I was going to pick up a car that I bought and drive it back to California from Houston. The hotel had everything you could need for a quick trip. I wish I had more time to enjoy the nice pool because it is hot in Houston! The A/C in the room worked great and in the morning they had a continental breakfast in the lobby, which was also air conditioned. Very nice and helpful staff. A little tricky to find it since it is located on the main street but behind a restaurant, so make sure you look behind the restaurant when you see the sign for the hotel. Also, it still smelled of cigarette smoke, even though I asked for non-smoking room. A completely non-smoking facility would be nice but it seems like a lot of people smoke in Houston compared to CA anyway.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

We didn't eat in the area but there were a ton of options around the hotel and directly in front of the hotel was a Mexican restaurant. We actually drove down to Galveston and had lunch there because we wanted to see the beach and craved warm Gulf of Mexico water. Remember, we are from California and have nothing but freezing Pacific Coast water. Galveston is about 45min to an hour on Hwy3.

Absolutly not

We stayed here to catch a flight early from Houston hobby. The hotel was hard to find. Follow your gps, you will not see the hotel. Look for the blue sign. I will never stay at this hotel again. The room reeked with mildew. There were sagging leaks in the ceiling. it was freshly painted right over the sagging damaged ceiling. The smell is what will keep me away. It smelled like black mold.

Not the greatest!

The location was nice and the staff was friendly.... Got in our room and is smelled horrible! Like mildew and mold! Black mold on our ceiling! Went to dinner, came back and our bed was wet!!! The ceiling was leaking! Went and asked if we could move rooms and they let us.... But again the room STUNK! They did have the A/C going which was nice because it was 102 out! I would never stay here again!

Not what I expected

This was the third time to stay in this hotel. First two times were pleasant and enjoyable. Check in was very easy and staff was friendly. Got to room and there was a strong odor of mildew as if the room had a leak that was recently repaired. Sprayed enough cologne to cover up. Went out for a few hours and I think the A/C had dried up the air enough to not notice smell anymore. Called to get extra towels so that children could go swimming. Was told pool was closed and given no explanation. Upon leaving, was told that there was 'weather' that caused pool to close. There was much more to the pool story, but too much to try and type. Continental breakfast was below what was expected. Staff not nearly as friendly upon check out. Despite two good visits, this third assured that there will not be a fourth. Good location. Easy on/off highway. Despite wet smell, room was clean to the eye.

Wow

Well staff is very nice and willing to help you. The breakfast was okay. They filled up when it got low and had a somewhat good amount but the Baymont Im used to had a waffle maker and not toaster waffles. Plust the french toast was so so and also was toaster french toast. The room we had had blood on the bathroom door and the room was very musty smelling. The first night there someone tried to get into the room. Then right by the door someone had dropped a carton of food and it sat there til we checked on on Sunday and I bet is still there. Also for people who dont liek cats dont stay here they have a nice black one that shows up in the morning time and is near the pool area. Oh yeah and dont swim in there pool. It has a fishy oder to it! Oh also I asked for Do not Disturb for the door and I was told that they would just have the cleaning staff give me one. Well they dindt and they came and clead up the room while we were gone and we had some papers that we later found out were tossed out because they were on the desk and they cleaned it. I will never stay there again. It was not worth my time or money!
