Easily accessable
Very nice hotel staff Matthew greeted us and everything was great in the room. It was quiet and comfortable. Loved all the cozy pillows on the beds; made sleep comfortable. It also had a great breakfast ; hot or cold whichever you preferred. Little tight between desk with chair out to get to closet and window; maybe the desk could go nearer window?? Anyway our experience was 5 star for us! Would have been great to have a TV channel list so you don't spend half the night channel surfing. And maybe a restaurants "that are close to hotel" list! Convenient & Clean
In town for a job interview. The hotel was perfect. Conveniently located just a few minutes from my destination yet access to everything else was quite easy, food, entertainment, etc. The best part about my stay was the complimentary breakfast which was much more than the usual continental bagels and coffee. Would definitely recommend to anyone in town for a short business stay.

Good Hotel, Bad Bed
Hotel is great for Medical Center and is located near Metro Rail for fast service to Down Town or Relliant Center. Rooms are clean and staff are excellent. Let down by the bed which is like a brick and pillows that cost 50 cents at Wallmart. Not much in the way of eatery's within walking distance. This is a good hotel, but the poor bed would stop me returning.

GOOD VALUE
I know this hotel since many years, it was renovated recently and overall has a good price-value ration. In addition it is at walking distance from MDAnderson and other medical centers

Friendly Economica Medical Center Hotel
Other than crickets in my room (which is a common problem in Texas, so it's hard to complain), I thought the hotel was a good deal. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful and pleasant, the shuttle was convenient and the location in the Medical Center was excellent - for the price I paid, I think I got a great deal! The fitness center and pool as well as morning breakfasts were great perks.

Convenient to Medical Center
Being from the San Antonio area and unfamiliar with the Houston downtown Medical Center, the staff was helpful in directing me in the right direction of the hospitals. I was able to leave my vehicle in the parking lot and walk to where I needed to go without having to add the cost of parking as well. The staff was helpful in that I checked out early in the morning and was able to leave my mother sleeping in the room till a more reasonable hour while I conducted business. Staff was willing to assit you any way they could.

Breakfast is available, but lunch or supper is something you have to find. Methodist hospital has a wide variety of choices, there is also a Subway (does not have everything you may have at another Subway), and a Starbucks (short walk from hotel); 5 lights on S. Main (turn right out of parking lot) a Krogers store (you have a microwave and icebox), between the hotel and 610 there is a Olive Garden and several fast food places.

The hotel entrance and exit was not convenient for automobiles. There is no evening in hotel dining. The immediate neighborhood was not conducive for walking, though I did for 2 evening meals at nearby restuarants.

Short walk - PizzaHut and Burger King Longer walk to Hospital area - Chiplotles, Starbucks and some others. Hospitals are the main reason people stay at this hotel.

If you're in and out for medical work this is as convenient as any of the hotels at the cheapest rate. If I'm going to spend over $200 on a room--I'd just as soon be on vacation. For strict business and medical purposes--this is the mose economical choice as it's substantially less than some of the other options.

It's a reasonable walk to most of the medical facilities if you're able. Metro Rail's only a buck too and you can see some of the other area if you're adventurous--that's also 5-10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
