Not Good Deal
The hotel is not in a good neighborhood. It is near several gentlemans clubs. The hotel decor is old and looks dingy. The bed had old sheets and a really old coverlet that is so thin - no blankets. I went to take a shower and there were several long hairs in the shower.

In a word terrible!
This has to be the grossest hotel I've ever been in. There was a terrible chemical smell upon walking in the front door. It quickly went down hill from there. The room smelled like an ashtray when I requested a non smoking room. The carpet was just gross. I wouldn't dare walk around with bare feet. If you book here, you'll be disappointed.

Best Western Houston
Hotel was in what seemed like a bad part of town. Eating and shopping was close enough though. The hotel didn't smell that great and the service was so-so. The room had a small fridge, which was nice, but the TV was outdated and small. Overall it was an okay hotel but we would have preferred to pay more for a hotel on a different side of town with more amenities.

Clean and quiet
We spend one week per year in Houston and have been staying here for the past four or five years. It's always spotless and quiet. The staff is always friendly. The buffet breakfast is very adequate and there is always seating available. There is always plenty of parking. All we want in a hotel is a clean, quiet place to spend the night when we return from each day's activities and a place to eat breakfast before we leave again. It is an excellent value for our needs.

Best Western Fountainview
The room was clean and well-appointed; the cleaning staff was prompt and efficient; the desk clerks were friendly and helpful; the complementary breakfast was tasty - I love those Texas-shaped waffles - and, overall, my stay was pleasing, and I was well-satisfied.

I checked in late and attendant was most kind. I accidently left something in the room. When I called to see if they had it, not only did they have it, they called me back to verify and are shipping it to me. That is outstanding in service and honesty.
