Americas Best Value Inn

I was in a bind so I booked this hotel online as I could not find anything else with rooms available. It looked good online but I was concerned when I got there and the counter was surrounded by bullet proof glass and they took my reservation through a slot under the glass....

This MOTEL is scary at best. The rooms have a fresh coat of paint and a decent TV, but it is seedy and cheap. I truly believe I watched adrug transaction in the parking lot. Why this is not labeled a motel, is misleading. The only thing that separates your car from your room is a sidewalk. I thought I had a good deal, but I ended up checking out after 30 minutes of internet searching to find a better place to stay.

This hotel was said to be new, but it was merely an older hotel with some facelifts. Only 2 of the outlets worked in my room, the deadbolt did not turn, there was no place to store my clothing, and the tub did not have a plug for the drain. The management, however, was outstanding and did try to rectify the problems I had. I did not find the area to be a good place to stay alone.

It was a very hot summer day in Houston, Texas. We got into the room to find out that the A/C was off! It was very hot in the room. After turning on the A/C, it took a long time for the room to cool down. This was the first hotel that I encountered that turned off A/C in guest rooms to save cost even there will be guests living in the rooms on the very day. Very bad experience! Also, the towels in the room were not good or clean.

I swim the National Sr. Olympics Better simple things like a table lamp in the room and a coffee maker in the room to heat water for tea. There was no pictures on the walls either. Of coure I had these things in all the other rooms I ever been in. Room was clean everyday, But I wish their had a better breakfast.

This hotel is kinda iffy depending on what day of the week you go. The weekends were busy with family and kids while during the weedays it was pretty quiet. The hotel itself really could be described as a motel. The door is less than 3 feet away from a parked vehicle so in the morning you can hear people talking as well as the loud engines starting up. Overall, I would only stay at this hotel if there weren't any other available rooms nearby. In the end, you get what you pay for.

The staff was polite. It is very basic; just a room with a bed and restroom. It did have microwave and frig. It could have been cleaner, but it was okay.

We went to Houston for a NBA game and the zoo. This hotel was within 5 miles of the Toyota center and a mile from the zoo. Easy to find and check into, guy @ the desk was friendly. Our key didn't work 1st time, and there was no remote (they gave us one) but everything else was good. Big comfy bed, and simple... just like we want. Worth the price, in my opinion. Would stay there again.

Im always nervous renting a moderate priced hotel on the internet. Was meeting friends in Corpus and had no idea where to stay. Did not want to spend a lot of money. Trip was centered around beach and shopping fun, not the hotel room. Worked out perfect. Would rent a room here again!

Hotel was clean staff that I talked to were friendly.... Although the continental breakfast advertised was the option of cherios or muffins.... Also if you don't like chinese or pizza don't get your hopes up on local delivery.
