Basic and Inexpensive - great AC, free breakfast, wifi
This is a basic, inexpensive hotel. It's near two decent restaurants: Princess (Indian, next door) and Gringos (Mexican, about 2 miles away). Downtown is a 15 minute drive in non-rush-hour traffic. It's not a Sheraton, but good value for the price: basic room, great AC (critical for Houston), free breakfast (must be eaten in lobby or the staff get cranky), free wifi, laundry, pool (clean).

The building is run-down, but the hotel was adequate and comfortable for the price and location. I suggest expanding the continental breakfast menu slightly by including whole wheat bread. I had a hard time opening the shampoo package.

Needs to be remodeled
The Hotel looks OK on the out side, but inside are room we dealt with dirty carpet, the box spring had rust colored stains running down the sides, the bath tub looked filthy thank god we don't like to take baths. The Jacuzzi was cold like the pool, and the ice-maker didn't work. :o( I would not recommend this hotel!

Not too shabby
You get what you asked for, was just looking for a simple room. Pros: the room was clean for the most part. Con: No internet or tv cable
