Hyatt Place Dallas Grapevine

I have stayed at this hotel before, so that is why I chose to stay again. From June 2010 to Nov 2011 the hotel has taken a turn for the worse. Upon entering the room there was a weird odor, like smoke and urine (smoke-free hotel?). The room looked clean, but smelled awful. The hotel was booked solid , so another room was out the question. The bathroom fan did not work. The bathtub was nicked up and a corner of the tub had a hole in it, fortunately not in a spot where water could leak. The beds are still very comfy. To top things off was that we planned to attend a concert and the hotel power went out for 2.5 hours. No one at front desk had an explanation and an hour into the power outtage, no one would answer the phone. When the power finally came on we had 1.5 to get showered, dressed etc. to get ready and make it to Dallas. Made it late. Bummer. Great trip but disappointing accomodations. Please do repairs, I love the location and I usually Love Hyatt Place.

Good hotel, nice room, great view of fireworks at the gaylord hotel. There was some theft the night we were there, not my truck but others, so be careful, not hotels fault becuase i heard stories all over dfw, so be careful no matter where you stay!!!

It was GREAT! The room was spacious.

we went to the grapevine shopping mall and to lego land! it would have been more enjoyable if the pool wasnt so cold, it was a awesome easter to spend with my friends

Eveything was great with the exception of breakfast...you had to pay for a decent breakfast instead of everything being included with the "complimentary" breakfast which should have provided at least one meat..it's a bit deceiving.

Shopping,Birthdays,Visiting with sisters from Beaumont & Kansas. Every thing was very nice.

Room was very nicely stocked, clean and comfortable.

Hotel was great. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was clean. They had continental breakfast, but it was nasty fruit I like cantelope but it was green. It advertises a buffet. Also this was a spur of the moment trip b/c the weather was going to be bad and we didn't want my husband to miss his flight. I forgot mine and kids toothbrushes and I asked for 3 tooth brushes and they said we're sorry we only have one tooth brush! We will stay there again, but we will probably go out to breakfast and we won't forget our tooth brushes.

Staying one night to pick up a relative at the DFW airport. Well located, very good service and well furnished room.

Upon arrival, we were told the hotel was sold out and we would have to wait for our room...It was 3:00pm. I explained I knew they would be sold out, hence the reason I made reservations. As I watched the other Hostess give a room to the guest in line next to us, I stated I wanted my two rooms. The host who was attempting to help me stated that he had found my room. I had 2 rooms reserved and he confusingly told me only 1 room was available now and the other would be available later. What does later mean? He did not know and I was about to get mad so I took the 1st room and decided we would unload our luggage, etc. and put it in our room and return later, hopefully to get a more knowlegable host(He then proceeded to give the person in line behind me a room). We returned 20 minutes later and the hostess now at the counter told me I already had my room and my reservation was for 1 room. I noticed on her computer screen that it said 2 rooms in the comments and pointed this out to her. FINALLY, I got my other room, and it was adjoining! Great! We ate and shopped that night, returning to the rooms about 9:00pm. The remote in one room did not work so I called the front desk. They told me maintenance was gone and locked-up so they could not replace the remote or the battery tonight(the battery is secured via hex bolt so I couldn't fix it myself). I said "I'm out of luck?" and they replied "Yes". I hung up. In the morning we left the comment card on the remote, hoping that it would be fixed when we returned, but it was not. I called the host and a new remote arrived in about 10 minutes. The sink faucet was also very loose and flopping around but it did work. I am a sales representative for a construction materials company(several of our products are nationally specified in Hyatt Place Hotels) and had taken clients to the NASCAR race in Ft Worth, as I do every year, and always stay at Hyatt Place. This was not the norm for Hyatt Place. I was very disappionted in the service we recieved and will not stay at this location again!
