Great Location our car stayed parked.
Wonderful suite overlooking the gulf. Great a/c in the gym, and big pools. On site restaurant has delicious food. TVs, wifi, quiet rooms. A walk across the street to the beach. Family atmosphere. Will continue to go to the Victorian in Galveston. Kitchen was just the right size.

Our First Dickens on the Strand Weekend
This condo looks appealing from the outside but the condo itself was quite a disappointment. The master bedroom was small and the bed was uncomfortable. There was mold on and around the air vent in the bathroom. The whole interior needs to be updated. For the price we paid, we expected a more comfortable and attractive room. It is close to the beach and the pools were nice but overall, we didn't like it and don't expect to return.

This Place Needs Help
When making my reservation, the following requests were made: 1. Early check in. Hotel policy was discussed but the agent stated that the reservation would be noted and that we would be taken care of. 2. Smoking condo. This resort has both types, and we were placed in a non-smoking room. 3. Ocean or pool view. The resort could not figure out how to upgrade me to a pool view as the condo was booked under a group reservation. I was told however, that all the condos had a view of the Gulf of Mexico. Our family won't be staying at this resort again until some changes are made. I book reservations for a 5 Diamond resort and this facility needs some work in more than one area. We desparately needed an early check in so we could have somewhere to put some items that we brought for a wedding that needed to be in a cool place. When booking this reservation, I explained our need for the early check in and was told that it would be noted and that we would be taken care of when we arrived. Normal check in is at 4pm and we arrived the first time around 12:30pm. My daughter and I were greeted by very rude front desk staff who offered us no help at all with our situation. We even asked if there was somewhere cool we could leave our items until the condo was ready for us. The answers from the staff were very short as if they could care a less. We were told it would be a couple more hours before they had something for us, so we had to find another room to keep our belongings from becoming ruined. Half of my family went ahead and stayed at the second room for the first of two nights and later on that afternoon, I was finally able to check into our condo. Upon opening the door to the condo, the odor almost knocked me down. There was a rank smell of mildew. I had to open the patio door and tried to air out the room. The front desk called to see if everything was alright and was notified of the stench. They immediately sent someone from housekeeping who sprayed some perfumed substance in the air that almost smelled as bad as the original mildew itself. The spray only masked the air, but within a couple of hours the smell came right back. We were also told that we would have a view of the Gulf, but our view was a parking lot and a Walmart store. You could only see the Gulf if you leaned over the railing and looked off to the left of our balcony. There were no soda or ice machines anywhere near the room. You had to walk down a very hot, long corridor back to the front desk to get any ice. The corridor itself was a bit shocking the first time we saw it. As you look down the wide hall, you will see a long row of burglar bars against yellow walls. It resembles what you might see in a jail. The hallways are partially open aired, very stuffy and hot. I will say that the condo itself was clean, had ample bedding, towels, and dishes to use. The bed was extremely comfortable as well with plenty of pillows. The pool was very clean and had plenty of chairs for us. We enjoyed swimming there after being at the beach all day. The resort is centrally located on the Seawall and we were able to walk to the beachfront. It was also close to Walmart and a Sonic. There is no restaurant or nightclub on location which we were advised of prior to booking. I would consider staying here again if two major points were dealt with. One is the front desk staff who were rude and very short with the guests, and the terrible smell in the condos. The booking agents should also not make promises they can't keep and be a bit more forthcoming about the actual view you might have. If you have one of the condos with the Gulf view, you may either have the Walmart to the west or an abandoned cemetary (which was never mentioned) to the East. There are pool views as well for an upgraded price.

Be prepared to drive to a good restaurant. Stay away from the chains as they have nothing special to offer. The locally owned restaurants are where you want to eat and the seafood is fresh.

What a Disappointment
Very disappointed. Condo is old - inside & out. In dire need of renovation, but fresh paint and decent furniture would go a long way. Power outages (3 times within 6 hours) made us late for our first event of the day. Stayed here 18 years ago and was so looking forward to this return visit. Will not return.

Honeymoon Starts at Victorian Resort
The room was flat amazing. It was like having a mini-apartment that even had dishes, great room service, and a friendly and very helpful staff. The only reason I didn't rate this with 5 stars was that the breakfast they included was about average. Overall, an very great place to stay!
