Average, just average...
This hotel was just average, not bad for what you pay for though. The staff doesn't go out of their way to be helpful or friendly. The amenities were just okay, the hot tub didn't work when we were there, however there was an indoor pool, that was ice cold! The elevators were extremely slow and they had only two ice makers in the whole place, one of which was broken. It was convenient or at least easy access to most everything.

Wonderful experience
Hotel staff was extremely helpful, curdious, and very professional. The breakfast in the mornings was very good with a variety of foods offered from fruit, waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausage, and even cereal for the little ones. The room was big enough for our needs and stayed plenty cool during the summer stay.

Short drive from hotel
Rainforest cafe was a enchanting place to take kids for dinner and shopping. I took my 4 yr old son and 15 yr old niece and they both had an amazing time and the price was not too expensive, for the 3 of us the bill was around $46. Plus u can shop while u wait to be seated!!!

Very nice stay
We stayed for two nights and while we were there we visit Moody Gardens, the Railroad Museum, the Strand, Seawall and road the Ferry. This hotel was in the perfect location to get to all of these places!! The breakfast was wonderful, the only thing that would have made it better would have been more seating!! We had to wait a few minutes for a table to open up each morning. Compared to other hotels I have stayed in while in Galveston, this one was one of the best for its price.

Clean and reasonably priced
Staff was courteous and friendly. The room was small but nicely appointed, very clean, with a comfortable bed. The TV is located in an odd place, but swivels to serve both the bedroom and sitting area. We did not try the foldout sofa bed. The continental breakfast had lots of choices and was very tasty (and free). Wireless connection in the room did not seem to work, but I was able to connect my laptop via the provided phone cable (also free). Don't expect a stunning view on the island side, unless you are interested in seeing the local Target; I didn't check harborside. There is only one elevator car and it is rather slow, the stairs are carpeted and very clean. Parking was adequate and the property felt safe.

You get what you pay for
The hotel price was very reasonable, but after spending the night there I can see why. The beds were hard as rocks, the walls are so thin you can hear ALL noises from the other guests, so sleep well that just wasn't in the cards. The staff was professional & pleasant but there wasn't enough seating for breakfast so we gave up on that too! So, if you need a cheap hotel on the island but don't plan on it being anything special this is the place to go.

Good for a Business trip
Clean and pleasant, did not try the pool or fitness center but both looked fine. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Location is pretty far away from everything, but I was on a business trip to Pelican Island so that was OK.

Very enjoyable stay,,
We stayed in Galveston to avoid the chaos of Houston where one of our children was graduating. We had 2 grandchildren with us of ages 2 and 3. The pool and hot tub could have been warmer and the beds a little firmer but, the hotel was clean, the free breakfast was nice. This hotel is only 2 years old, it is in a safe and secure location and near to all of the beautiful Galveston attractions. We would recommend it to family and friends. We would defintely return to this hotel in the future.

Chicken in the waste basket
The hotel overall wasn't bad. The people seemed nice, breakfast was good. The reason I didn't give them an overall good rating was due to the condition of them room. I arrived mid afternoon and checked in. When I got to my room the dead bolt was engaged to keep the door open. So I was a little freaked out and checked the room to see if anyone was still there. There wasn't anyone. The room looked clean enough, but then I noticed that the trash hadn't been emptied. Apparently, whoever had stayed there the previous night had fried chicken. So for the rest of my stay I was a little wary to touch anything. The room itself was nice and spacious, esp for one person. I would have thought it an nice place except for the chicken in the waste basket.
