pefect and great weather to get away from home its best to bring suit and swim and great swim up bar

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for our Texas beach trip and we were very happy with our stay. I wouldn't really recommend it for kids but we did see families with their children there. We had a gulf view room and it was just perfect, you could see the pool and gulf from our room all in one take. The staff was super friendly and answered all our questions and if you need any travel essentials such as toothbrush, toothpaste ect. they will provide you those things at no cost. The pool was nice and had a swim up bar. The rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable. It is just a short walk to the pleasure pier with rides and games and there are many shops and restraunts within walking distance. We went in sept which is considered the off season so the beaches and pool we pretty much had to ourselves and the weather was still geogous. The only thing is some of the attractions close during the week in sept or later and are only opended on the weekends. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay there again.

The location is great! I can see that the hotel is making attempts to make improvements but they have a long way to go. I stayed there last year and thought the hotel has major problems with moldy smell, AC noise, and poor housekeeping. The price is too high for what you get even though the location to the beach and the view is great. This year, housekeeping is still below par. There are still repairs that need to be done. It bothered me that there was a problem with our door not locking but I appreciated the timely response to attempt to fix the problem when I called. I hope the hotel will continue to make improvements, but until then, I think I will try different hotel next year.

I had reserved a king room with view, but when we arrived we were told that there were no rooms available with a gulf view, and that our reservation did not specify that detail, but when I checked the printout later it clearly stated "with view." The desk clerk, Malcolm, was very rude. He gave us a key to inspect a 1st floor room, which smelled badly of smoke. When we asked to see another room, he said, "We charged them $200 for smoking. It is a no smoking room," but that didn't help us any at all. Finally got a ground floor room that didn't smell like smoke, but had to go through a very unpleasant check-in experience.

This was my first time to stay in galveston, being a teacher and starting school today I wanted a nice relaxing weekend getaway and this was perfect for what I wanted. Great location, great staff, nice rooms, loved the swim up bar. I had rented a movie off the T.V. only to find out that the movie I watched just happened to be the new HBO Saturday night movie. Just joking around I told the front desk person when I checked out and she kindly removed the movie from my account. All in all, great place to stay!

We had a great time. Balcony view overlooking the gulf and swim up bar at the pool below. walk across the street to the beach. We will be back to this hotel

Check in/out was very easy. The hotel was very clean and in a great location. This hotel ranked up there with the best i have stayed at in galveston.

Fantastic!! Had a great time. The beds and pillows are incredible......hated to get up. The swim up bar is great, awesome place to meet new people. Had a great view from the balcony as well. Gated parking lot makes you feel safe too. This place rocks!! I wish they had offered a free paper to read every morn though. But, that's minor.
