For Galveston its fine
Rooms were clean, Yes they had toiletries the same samples stuff you get everywhere. Stayed 2 nights and room was cleaned around 1pm. Pool was nice (yes they ran out of towels). Only negitive was there are only 2 elevators for 8 stories. Yes hallways can get little dirty with sand.hmmm sits right across from beach and tons of kids. What do you expect? Little expensive but........ People its Galveston, not Miami, Maui or Bermuda. For Galveston its just fine.

We ate at Fishtails. It was fine also. Nice laid back atmosphere, seafood was good but size of plate was little small for the price. Overall I would go there again.

great stay
i choose this hotel, because i was going on my honeymoon the next day.i was surprised to find out that the hotel was located near our two favorite places to eat.also the hotel had free parking for the week we were on our cruise.they also provided a shuttle to and from the port at no extra charge.

The Holiday Inn resort was very clean and comfortable. what i enjoyed the most was the view of the gulf and the proximity to dinning areas.

Very friendly
When I arrived at the hotel to check in I was greated at the front door. Everyone behind the front desk were very efficiant in getting me into my room as quick as possible, so need less to say their was no waiting period. Everyday of my stay I came back to a clean room and I had an ampil supply of towels in the room. The bedding was supper and plenty of pillows on the bed. Even the maid service people were friendly and patiant with me upon checkout. I really enjoyed the furniture in the room it reminded me of home. This hotel is in the middle of the shopping and dining places to go.

Their are several resterants in walking distance of this hotal. I was very pleased with the thought of not having to move my vehicle for the days that I was at the hotel.

Kids Stay and Eat Free
We were very pleased with this hotel. The location could not have been better and what a nice view from the 5th floor. It was also very nicely decorated and clean. Cleanliness is very important to me and for my kids. We were also thrilled to find out that the kids stay was free and that they ate free in the restaurant. That was a huge plus. The weekend breakfast buffet was very good...we all enjoyed it. It was also very convenient to have a fridge and a microwave in the room. We never really heard any noise either from the pool, road or the walkway once we were in our room...another plus for a good nights sleep. We will definitely consider this hotel when visiting Galveston.

Winter Getaway
We checked in late but upon arrival I requested an upper room and they accommodated me. There was a bar/club next to the lobby area which was jamming pretty good. Once we got to the room we noticed it was very cold. The reason for it was there was a big gap at the bottom of the front door. We had to keep something there to keep the room warm. But the heater was excellent once it got to cranking. The view was great. I slept the whole time. My vehicle was visuable the whole time. No problem with security. The room was spotless and very homely. Well come back during the summer before hurricane season.

great place!
This is a great hotel for family as it really caters toward families and children with lots of children activities and since it right across a the street from the beach it was easy for us to go to the beach for a little bit and then head back to the pool. We differently will be back!
