All-suites hotel with outdoor pool and fitness room
Guests in the area for business or pleasure appreciate the convenient location of the smoke-free Comfort Suites Galveston. Great restaurants all along the beach I had the best habanero fajitas and stuffed jalepenos at this Mexican n seafood restaurant.

A Gem!
Check in clerk was friendly and nice. She explained the pool hours, check out time, breakfast times, pool towels, etc. We easily upgraded to a beach view on the third floor ( I highly recommend this ) The room was very clean and neat. Love the high ceilings in the bedroom AND the bathroom, it made the bathroom feel very spacious. I have to give this hotel a 5 star rating. I was really surprised, booking at the last minute to get such a nice room. The location was perfect. Its several blocks west of 61st, but still on the seawall. (Its a block away from the beach, but the side street is not busy at all.) The strand is about 5-10 minutes away and the west end is about 10 minutes in the other direction. It was far enough away from the noise and crowds but still close to everything. Moody Gardens is very close. I would definitely stay there again, and am recommending it.

Moody Gardens is very close and the Strand is about 10 minutes away by car. On street parking on the Strand is free on Saturday and Sunday.

Nice Hotel Near the Seawall
Comfortable, clean hotel located just a block from the Seawall. It's located a few blocks away from all the hustle and bustle of the island, so it's a bit quieter than other hotels near the Seawall. I attended a conference at Moody Gardens while in town and this hotel is close enough to get there in just a few minutes. Breakfast buffet was your standard stuff -- waffle maker, cereal, some form of eggs, and pastries. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was more comfortable than many I've slept on in hotels. The towels are decently sized, which is a treat.

Reluctant vacationer
Short vacation but we had a Great Room
The entire hotel was clean with a lobby that looked like a 5-star hotel. The desk clerk was efficient and had a sense of humour. The room was lovely. It was complete with what we now take for granted - couch, several chairs, microwave, refrigerator,television and WiFi. The difference is everything appeared new and actually worked !

The hotel is located on Galveston's Seawall Blvd., slightly West of most of the trendy restaurants and clubs. This was an advantage as traffic was reduced, but you could drive to these places in less than 5-min. The hotel only had a breakfast bar, but Galveston is covered in restaurants, many only a few minutes away.

Schlitterbahn water park is close by as well as a movie theater, batting cage and miniature golf. There are also a few shops within a short distance.
