Their restaurant H3 was absolutely delicious. One of the best steaks ever eaten. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is they don't have a fitness center. They do, however, offer free access to a gym a couple blocks away.

Not quite up to my expectations
I've wanted to stay at the Stockyards Hotel my entire life, and I'm glad I finally got to. I love the location and its historical significance. However, the hotel itself is nothing to brag about. The room was sparsely furnished, the building was too hot (and our room a-c never got below 75), the shower had mildew in it, the toilet ran all night, and the bar staff ignored us for several minutes before finally rudely telling us we could be seated. I'm glad I've checked this hotel off my to-do list, but I can't say I'd stay there again. It's just not worth it. Next time I'll just eat at the restaurant and tour the lobby.

A Delightful Step Back 102 Years
We spent the night in this wonderful hotel so my wife could make her 0730 seminar the next day without having to drive from Flower Mound at 0530. We were greeted by a very professional and friendly valet who insisted on unloading our luggage, carting it and actually taking it to our room. I haven't seen that for awhile. The valet service was $12 for the whole day with 24 hour access to our car. We were greeted inside by a very friendly staff and had our keys within seconds. The hotel is appointed much like I would imagine it might have been 100 years ago. The room fixtures, furniture and even pull chain toilet was very special. Oak raised panel doors and cabinets were period correct. The room was quiet and clean, the bed was very comfortable and several hundred channels were available on TV. There is a saloon and steakhouse attached so you don't even have to leave the building unless you want to stroll the shops and restaurants along the borders of the Fort Worth Stockyards. All very close and convenient. My wife and I would agressively recommend a night at the Stockyards Hotel to anyone who wants to just get away and spend a few moments in a bygone era.

My review of Stockyards Hotel
I always enjoy staying at historic properties. Room was clean and quiet, but it was mid-week. Plenty of restaurants and nightlife surround the hotel. I found plenty of on-street no-time-limit parking only two blocks away.

Step back in time
We were in Ft. Worth for the Texas Angus Assoc. anual meeting, and thought it would be neat to stay in a hotel that had all the feeling and tradition of Texas cattle. The room was very nice, very comfortable, great bed, and staff very helpful. Be aware that there is very limited street parking available, but they have parking available for $10/day . There is some public parking a couple of blocks down the street, if you want it. Highly recommend the Cattlemen's Steak House, just around the corner. GREAT steaks.
