Microtel Inn & Suites - Fort Worth - Stockyards

The hotel charges a deposit which I was told would be released as soon as we checked out but after three days its still being held. The pool was dirty and unopened at the end of May. I believe staff should review charges before taking payments. The room was quite nice. Windows open for fresh air. Room had no comforter or extra blankets but at least u know the sheets and blankets are clean. Loved all the light locations and choices. Overall loved my stay .

Stay 5 nights at this place. Did not know they were removing the carpeting on our floors nor were told by the reception staff. Room was comfortable but the only closet was of Ikea quality and the door was broken. Overall the staff was courteous however the night reception was not professional, courteous or friendly at all. I would not stay there again unless it was really necessary.

the bed was hard and one of closist door was broked.,alarm did not work,housekeeping was noting on door at 10am

It was a great price and was not far from the stockyards and downtown. The continental breakfast was disappointing.

the 24 hr desk was a great help since our truck was running late. the rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. good experience for a tired traveler

Exiting the highway was a challenge due to construction, but the clean, friendly atmosphere made the time in traffic worth the wait. The rooms smelled clean, and they were recently painted. The hot water was ample and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was worth getting out of bed for. We also enjoyed the central location of the hotel. Our stay was so relaxing we decided to stay an extra night. The only negative was the limited t. v. channels--so plan ahead and bring a good book!

This was a great hotel stay. My wife and I had to be in Fort Worth for two nights and made the reservation last minute. The hotel was convenient to downtown, and was clean and comfortable. We had a little delay getting there the first night because they are doing construction on Hwy 820, but with the fast wifi at the hotel we found that we could get off of IH-35 one exit south of 820 and never had any problems after that. The check-in clerk was very nice and the room was quiet and very clean. The parking lot was full but we never even heard anyone else while we were in our room. I would definitely stay here again.

That being said, there were some things requiring attention. Desk phone did not work. TV had few channels. Lobby TV on CNN was distracting. Treadmill and elliptical were out of order. There was no printer.

Location was very good for a base from which to explore Fort Worth as a future home. Rooms were clean and beds were acceptable. Breakfast is lacking, however, as it is advertised as "hot breakfast" but only has self-serve waffles or toast. The coffee is available 24 hours, but is not good.

Good location to Fort Worth Stockyards and downtown Fort Worth. The fitness room needs updating as both pieces of equipment were broken. Need updates to matresses and hide away bed. Room was clean overall.
