Dining

Pyramid Restaurant and Bar
The new Pyramid Restaurant & Bar's sleek contemporary decor is perfectly paired with exciting menus created by Executive Chef jW Foster. Since his 2007 arrival in Dallas from his native Canada, Chef Foster has focused on creating a "fresh market" approach to menus for both the restaurant and bar incorporating products that are organic, authentically local and sustainable. jW's personal culinary philosophy emphasizes fresh, local ingredients in an effort to minimize our carbon footprint on the planet and support the local economy. With his new menu for Pyramid Restaurant & Bar, he infuses classic dishes with modern twists while highlighting the wide range and variety of products available in the state of Texas. "We are dancing with classic dishes," says Foster, "not reinventing them. Many of the items on our Modern American menu are designed to evoke an emotional response or memory for our guests."
Starbucks
Coffee drinks, teas, other hot and cold beverages, and pastries. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Reasonable rates, very nice, clean room, and friendly staff

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. The first room that they gave me smelled like cigaret smoke even if it was supposedly a non-smoking room. I was given another room immediately after complaining about it.

Definitely not up to the hype

i was really looking forward to my stay here. I was pretty disappointed, mostly with the staff. I felt like an inconvenience. My mom and I arrived and were given aroma. When we got there, it was obviously already checked out to someone. Called down to get another one and the desk clerk said she would send right up with new rm keys. We waited and waited. In the meantime the hallway was sooo hot! No one showed so we called down again and once again waited forever. Finally we went down to the lobby ourselves and got a new key. No apology, nothing! We were beat by this time, so we got room service. Instead of bringing up grilled chicken sandwiches they brought up grilled CHEESE! Crazy, from such a nice hotel.

solid business hotel

rooms are nice, beds comfortable, the staff is super friendly. the downside is getting charged for EVERYTHING. e.g. $15 for internet. $25 for parking $7.50 for a bottle of H20.

Wonderful and relaxing romantic evening

The pool and the surrounding area are wonderful. The pool is much larger than most hotel pools with very comfortable chairs and areas to get out of sun. The breakfast for the gold floors was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Downtown Dallas Awesome!

This is a great hotel for the rate that I got. Perfect location. 7 blocks from JFK museum, 5 from the AA center, and very close to all the good spots downtown. Couldn't be happier for the price I paid. Definitely putting this hotel on my list for future visits.

Quick Getaway: One Year Anniversary

This was a great place for a quick getaway! It was easy to find and the rooms were very nice for the price. Unfortuntely, even though staying there was great, being able to afford anything at the hotel was not so great. The food was very expensive (ex: 7.50 a bowl for cheerios) and they only offered valet parking which was $24 a night. Overall, had a wonderful trip! The staff was very good, pretty hotel, and alot of stuff to do outside of the hotel :)

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Go big or go home for the dining experience. We wanted something nice, but not ridiculously expensive. We settled for a restaurant within walking distance where we paid 70.0 to eat (this was two meals, no appetizers, no drinks, and no desserts). For $30 more we could have eaten on the rootfop of a building. Next time we won't skimp...I was not impressed.
