Previously known, separately, as the Southland Center and the Adam's Mark Hotel, these North Olive Street skyscrapers are now collectively known as the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. Housing some of the world's biggest conventions, including Project-a-Con and Twicon, the Sheraton is the tallest of the hotels in Dallas, commanding unrivaled city views. The hotel's efficient amenities include 50+ elevators, 'hyper' speed Internet (fees may apply), and tele-meeting software, appealing to the business-minded. But even hardcore sightseers can still kick back and let The Kitchen Table in-house restaurant serve up a pot roast, before heading over to Draft Media Sports Lounge to enjoy sporting events spread across 21 huge TV screens.

That's Good Stuff

Was nice overall. However, there was a lot going on with different conventions. You will need to consider parking expenses when planning hotel expenses

Family Found Their Inner Cowboy

We can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From the bellhops, to the front desk, the consigners, and the maids. Kind, sweet, informative, and unbelievable ambassadors for Dallas! Let me say it this way....we would live there if we could!

Great hotel! Great room!

We got a 2 queen suit and the room was huge! We spent quite a bit of time tin the rooms, and it was great to be able to hang out in it.

Great stay

Upon check-in, we were told that the hotel were out of the rooms that I had reserved. I was told that I would be upgraded to the executive suite! It was a great room with a great view of downtown Dallas. It was also close to the State Fair which was the reason for the trip. The customer service was great, too.

Needs improvement.

I was not that impressed with this hotel. There were problems with the cooling in the hotel and the elevators could not keep up with the traffic on a busy weekend.

Expected more

Long line to check in @ 9pm. Parking not included. Self park across the street. Free Wi-Fi supposedly available in lobby but only in small area. Real bummer must pay extra to have available in room. Room was great; beds were great but view from window not so great. Requested a complete menu for room service (pages were missing) but never got it. Slept well; checked out early.

Not what one expects from a 5 star

As an introduction to the Sheraton Brank we noticed staff at check-in were untidy and uniforms not even pressed. When we went to our room it was already occupied; it took three more attempts to get the 2 rooms, for our kids and us parents right. Check-out was by 12, fine, but at 12 don't just have 2 people; a simple adjustment needs to be made for busy peak periods. Overall it was a big let down.

Very nice stay!

We had a very nice stay...the pool was very nice, the gym was excellent, the rooms were in excellent condition, the beds were awesome. We checked in around midnight and there was only one person at registration...she was courteous and helpful, even with a line. Everyone else that we interacted with was very helpful. Internet is $14.99 per day even when you check in at midnight (free in the lobby) and valet parking is $29, so keep that in mind when booking. Still a decent value and overall good experience. Would stay here again.
