Excellent Downtown Hotel
Stayed at the Magnolia during our first trip to Dallas. Since I was running in the Dallas Marathon, the location was perfect, only a few blocks from the start and finish lines. Very friendly staff, handled all our needs. Free breakfast is very comprehensive. Would definitely stay at the Magnolia again

Great!
I like hotels like this. It felt old in a sweet way. We loved the cookies and milk at bedtime, and the location was awesome! Also we got charged $50 less than we thought we would! Awesome!

Magnolia Dallas is a good downtown spot
I enjoyed the hotel but found small things annoying. (Yes, really small things, but when you travel as much as I do, you notice differences between hotels that you like or don't like that often influence future decisions). 1)They use "hotel hangers" that are difficult to get in and out of their connectors to the clothes bar. I'm not going to steal your hangers Magnolia. 2)TV interface requires working through a menu just to watch regular TV. 3)Some elevator buttons do not light up, including one in the lobby. 4)No automatic door when entering the hotel. If you're pulling luggage and have your hands full, it's awkward. 5)Lack of options for vegetarians at breakfast. I expect more than green bananas and oatmeal. How about simple fruit salad? Good things are at the Magnolia too: 1) Warm cookies from 8-10. 2) Nice wait and bar staff. 3) Friendly parking crew. Nice people.

Only 1 issue
The only issue we had was when we arrived to check-in they were not able to locate in the system not even with the conformation number. We had to forward the conformation email to the hotel. It did not take longer than 10 minutes though to locate our reservation other than that it was a great place to stay. The staff was amazing.

Spacious & comfortable
Suite was spacious and modern, and in a very good location. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were very hard. I asked for 2 soft pillows to be sent up the next day, and we received 1 soft one and another hard one. The staff were very courteous and helpful. If it wasn't for the bed I would highly recommend the hotel.

Texas relative visit
Wonderful stay in general at this hotel - staff very friendly and informative - complimentary drinks at tea time and then coffee and cookies in the even ing- great idea! Had a good deal with free valet parking which helps keep the costs down - good courtesy bus, Only negative was noisy room both from traffic even though we were on 15th floor and plumbing noise

Great Hotel in the heart of Dallas
Great stay. Beautiful boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Easy to walk to parts of Dallas. Was here for business. Easy to drive around to see my clients. 5 minute drive to uptown area where some of the good bars are at.

Nice - But pricey for the inconvenience
The Magnolia really needs to advertise the cost of parking. $25 per car. Would have been nice to know it would cost an extra $50 to park our 2 cars there for a night. Space is probably very limited downtown, but we would have stayed elsewhere had we known about the additional cost.

wedding anniversary
we would stay again; the room was clean, bed comfortable, cookies at bedtime was a treat; breakfast was adequate; staff was nice; old hotel but well kept; it was quiet, no complaints about neighbors; altogether the stay was what we expected.
