I spent 5 days/ 4 nights in Dallas, TX attending a professional conference at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Rooms were nice, ... clean, with a great view of downtown Dallas from the 24th floor. Hotel staff was friendly, professional. Multiple restaurants in hotel and common areas the best part of hotel experience. Most disappointing aspect was lack of hotel shuttle to Dallas Fort Worth International; many conference goers complained about this.

I particularly felt that concierge was not alert. One time, I approached to a man at the desk, trying to ask him re: ... transporation to the airport between my sessions. He(the only one at the dest at that time) was deeply engaged in a conversation with a "guest friend," leaving me and other guests(there was a line behind me) wait.

We didn't think to ask when booking but there was a big convention of Japanese Animation going on which made the hotel ... extremely busy. It made dining and elevator access a little difficult but the hotel staff was great about getting us into the elevators and room service was exceptionally fast and delicious. The costumes were pretty wild which gave us wonderful entertainment.

This place was wonderful!
KDR Jul 30, 2009
The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the bartenders. The atrium areas was beautiful. ... The location was very convenient - easy to get to highways, easy to get to sites, etc. The only drawbacks were the somewhat expensive valet parking ($20/day), no free wireless internet, and an occasionally noisy passing freight train that wasn't too bad on the 21st floor but would have been worse at lower floors. But despite these, I would stay there the next time I visit Dallas without a doubt.

magnificent view of downtown dallas
beth Jul 9, 2009
the view of downtown dallas was spectacular, which was why i rated it 4 stars. very convenient location with dart access ... just on the other side of a tunnel which could be reached from the hotel. west end within walking distance as were several museums and other points of interest. on the down side, we could hear the occupants of the next room clearly. also, wolfgang puck's resturant in the tower was closed both sunday and monday evening which were the only two nights we could have eaten dinner there. the observation deck was also closed during our stay. no refrigerator was another minus. valet parking at $19 per night and having to tip each time you needed the car got to be a bit much.

Evie May 25, 2009
we walked around down town for a little while then we went back to the room and got ready to go out to a concert. i didnt ... like that if you wanted to park your own car that it was pretty much down the street. the furniture was a little to big for the room and made the room look very small... the bed was awesome but the entertainment with the small tv wasn't that great.... the location of the TV was hard to see from the Bed

Morton's at 501 Elm Street (about 80 feet from the Sixth Floor Museum) is an excellent place for a quiet dinner and/or a nice glass of wine. Their beef is absolutely one of the best I have ever had ...and I have had fine beef from all over the world. If you enjoy steak and/or wine, you will love Morton's Steakhouse.
