Interesting room

Hotel was interesting, nice room. However, we had requested a rollaway bed; the request was submitted, but we found out as we checked in that there weren't any. Ever. This made it difficult for 3 adults who do not share beds to share this room (We took turns sleeping on the floor on a pile of blankets). Staff was pleasant and helpful, shuttle was easy to use.

lots of coffee shops and little restaurants in the area. Not necessary to eat at the hotel, although breakfast was good and reasonably priced.

Hotel Indigo

Great decor. Helpful staff. Recommend just paying for the valet parking. The self pay park was a pain since there is no attendant on the weekends.

Great Hotel, Bad Location

The hotel was great! It looks like something out of a magazine. The service was great & the rooms were a nice size. The bad thing is that this hotel is located right across from a bus station so you hear buses running all night. The walls are paper thin & I could hear the people next door talking, their phone ringing, etc. Also, it costs $20 to park at the hotel unless you park across the street and walk quite a ways. The hotel was precious, just in a bad location.

Eclectic and charming

Interesting hotel - nicely remodeled, with a very comfortable bed. I had a great experience with the desk staff. Check in was a breeze and the staff was attentive to a small problem with a broken iron. The driver was very professional and served as a tour guide on the way to our destination. It's on the east side of town, making it convenient to Deep Ellum and the Majestic, but with the courtesy van, the West End and Uptown were easy trips too. One note: If you expect a view, ask for a room on an upper floor. The lower floors offer only the garage across the street.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Elm Street garage is across the street from the front door and only $5 a night on the weekends; forgo the $20 valet and park in the garage.

Charming, but small.

Very clean hotel. Nice, helpful staff. Rooms are small, but comfortable, similar to French Quarter hotels. Historic site with updated bathrooms, heating & air conditioning, free wireless internet and flat screen TVs.

The Weston has a food court with many options and reasonable prices. Walk 3 blocks to the Sheriton, go up to the North end of the second floor and walk through the skywalk to the Weston.

Great!

I love this hotel and will definitely be back! Everything was bright and clean, and the staff were all extremely friendly. I think the best part of the stay was the beds. They are extremely comfortable and fluffy, and after a long day of traveling and sightseeing, they sure felt nice! Definitely recommend using the valet service instead of the parking garage across the street. Valet is $20 for the day (and you can come and go as much as you want) and the parking garage is $12 each time you exit. For those taking in a show, The Majestic is right behind the hotel.
