who does that?
We came to dallas to enjoy a night out and to socialize with friends from across the metroplex. We found a hotel,Hawthorn Suites, that was relative to the location we would be at for the night. Everything including service, room cleanliness, and
friendly staff were exceptional upon checking in. The hotel has a strict non-smoking policy but seem to be more than willing to accomodate by offering balconies on each room. It was upon arrival back to the hotel, (roughly 4am) that we encountered problems. Three of my friends were smoking a final cigarette outside when they were approached by what appeared to be hotel staff, though never identifying himself as one. He began questioning us asking the number of people in our room, (which was six, we had a two bedroom suite that accomodated 6 with a pull out couch), informing us about a no party rule even though we were causing absolutely no noise at all. Shortly after we recieved a phone call from the desk attendant asking more questions. After informing him he woke two of our guests with that phone call, and that we were causing no noise, he abruptly hung up and that was that. We had three cars that night, so to try to find 3 DD's would be very strenuating. Instead we chose to hang up the keys, ride with a taxi, and stay in a hotel after a night of socializing and relaxing... Overall the stay was enjoyable with rooms that accommodated all of us comfortably. It was the fact that anyone as hotel staff would approach guests, no matter what age, gender, race, or creed and treat them in a derogatory way such as we were treated on Friday, February 26, 2010. To anyone searching for a convenient location and a spot that offers suites, please look elsewhere before choosing Hawthorn.
