Room was terrible!

We requested for a King bed; we got a Queen bed. They put us on the 2nd floor looking at the flat roof of the building so we never opened the drapes. The room was a big empty space suggesting missing furniture i.e. a sofa or comfortable chair, table, etc. There was no closet to keep the clothes; just an opened space with a rack for your pants and shirts only. It was not designed to hung your dresses. The wallpaper next to the bed was torn. There was no mini refrigerator or microwave in the room.

Wish We Would Have Stayed Elsewhere

This is the first time I've felt compelled to review a hotel based on a poor experience...had the location not been as good I would have only given it 1 star. We stayed here June 22, 2013. While It is not a bad hotel, and the location was great for what we needed this hotel is VERY dated. The elevators smell like cigarette smoke, probably because 3 floors of the hotel have smoking rooms. I don't understand how it is rated as highly. It is at best an average, 2-3 star hotel, with SMALL rooms, no pool, and to top it off they charge $10.00 a day for WIFI access......really???? I can get free access at McDonald's, but not at a Doubletree Hotel? Make sure and figure that into your stay....it makes some of the other hotels in the area better choices.....We won't stay here again, there are too many other hotels that are more modern, comfortable, and with more amenities to choose from. But if you like paying an extra $10.00 a day for WIFI just to get a free cookie in the lobby before heading up a smokey elevator to your undersized room....then maybe this is the place for you.

Business traveler experience

Location good, checkin was without issue, bed ok. Shower nozzle had mid-chest height limitation, shower water temperature flucuated wildly. $4 bottled water (in-room) and $10 wi-fi price a bit ridiculous for a $200/night room.

Double Tree - Campbell Centre

Staff was very nice and helpful, unfortunately they weren't able to overcome the glaring issues. First, there is one room dedicated to smokers and that smoke has permeated other floors. If you dislike/are allergic to smoke then I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Next, the love seat in the room was tearing and was certainly not up to the standards I would expect for this location. Finally, the location was ideal for our trip which was centered around access to North Dallas and Downtown.

Comfortable, Convenient

Hotel staff had a crib ready when we arrived. (The chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch.) The room was clean and comfortable, but the carpet could use some freshening up. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

hear conversation in the next room.

Spent litle time in the hotel. Would have liked a pool. Not elegant in the least especially when compared to the Fairmont, Dallas.

Great Business Stay

Had a quick trip into Dallas and didn't need to stay anywhere in particular, so I opted for the Doubletree/Hilton brand. This particular hotel was a bit dated, but considering that I was really looking for a terrific value more than a swanky boutique vibe, it was the perfect choice for me. Was particularly impressed with the consistency of the room service and ordered in six times during my stay. They were always prompt (within 20 minutes) and the food was very affordable and tasted great. Bed was comfy, and would definitely recommend or stay again.
