If all you want is a safe clean place to sleep
This hotel is in a terrible location. There was no sign to show where it was located; off a side street parallel to the Pres. George Bush toll highway. I searched with google maps prior to leaving home to ensure I'd know where it was. That being said, I was fine and I was in the part of Dallas/Plano I had chosen to be. The breakfast was bare minimum with Tang for orange "juice", stale bread and basic dry cereal on offer. I stayed 3 nights, the second day I arrived back at my room 4 pm and the room had not been made up and my trash was not collected. I notified the front desk and they apologized, but I think it illustrates the poor management of this place. So, if all you want is a safe clean place to sleep, choose here. I will Not return here when I am back in Dallas next month.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Just drive north on Preston Road about 1/2 mile and you will find every chain eatery and store you ever heard of. Including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Wonderful area. Friendly people.

Nice place near UTD
The hotel is located in a spot that is connected to the city's transportations easily, though its entrance is a little bit hard to find. The room is clean and tidy. Staff there are very nice, providing good service everyday. The only thing is that the air conditioner is a little bit noisy.

Poor quality
this hotel was very run down. Our hide a bed was broken, our table leg fell off, our computer chair was broken. We even upgraded to a suite and it was worse the the regular room. Would not ever stay there again or recommend to friends.

A Complete Disappointment
After checking in a 2:10a, the last remaining single room was on the second floor, across from the elevator. Stained and ripped carpeting, loud A/C unit, horrible smell and less-than-one-star accommodations. Asked to be given a new room (told at a charge at first, then the new owners' son told me the next morning there would thankfully be no charge) and that took too long. Then I nearly was injured the following day when the treadmill stopped cold 8 minuets into my jog. Apologies all around but one of, if not the worst, hotel I've stayed at. Considering this is Plano, TX, it's a complete disaster. I understand that the hotel has new ownership and that many upgrades were not done by previous management, but how you operate and what you have is supposed to reflect what you represent. I'll never be back, even if it were free.

Days Inn and Suites Dallas
Was there for a graduation. Most horrible hotel I ever stayed in. The rugs were filthy. I had to throw away my white cotton socks because the bottom of the feet was so black from the dirt that I had to throw it away. Some part of the room the carpet was ripped. Rooms is dull, very depressing. I wanted to leave but I prepaid my trip. Have to call for an ironing board and iron. I don't believe I saw a blow dryer... Thank God I don't use one. Ice machine out of order, no mini refrigerator. Soda machine out of order. I can go on and on and on and on, but why bother... You get the picture.

Stay somewhere else
Staff was friendly and helpfull but the room was completely worn out. Carpet stained with a cut and patched area, fixtures worn. Hotel was hard to find with no sign at street entrance and is a quick right turn off the freeway exit.

Great location for the price
Location of this hotel was perfect because it was easy access to main Highways. In few minutes we went to Frisco or Dallas downtown, as well as Fort Worth or Arlington. Hotel was clean, room attendants were very kind and helpful. [...]

Good hotel. Great price
A friend and I went for the weekend for Edgefest and the Frightmare Convention. It was a great location for us because it was equal distance from the venue and the convention. Easy to get to, right off the freeway (Dallas toll way). The one thing I noticed was the room we had didn't have a fridge. Not really a big deal for us, but I don't know if the others had them or not. The man at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that mattered to me was having a comfortable bed and a cold room to come back to after the concert. If in the area, I'd definitely stay here again.

Short drive from hotel
Little Greek is a budget friendly Mediterranean restaurant a couple miles from the hotel. The meals are under $15 and delicious. Also, Bakers Brothers was great food. The menu ranges from sandwiches to soups to pizzas. Great price, great food, great service.

OK
The hotel was ok just to stay in for a night or two. It was pretty run down. There was an awful smell on the elevator, had problems flushing the toilette, and I left a cup in the nightstand to wake up with it covered with ants. This is NOT the place if you're looking to spend time in your room. It was also hard to find. Located behind a car lot.
