Windwater Hotel Corpus Christi

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I had nothing bad to say about the room or service.

According to the reservation, there was supposed to be an alarm clock in the room. Not only was there no alarm clock, there was no phone or iron either. The clerk at the front desk advised that the owner is going to remodel and is trying to save money. The carpet looked fairly new and the bathroom was clean, but we saw roaches on the ceiling and in general, the fixtures (drawer fronts, A/C unit, etc) were dirty and needed a good scrubbing. Bare bulb in bath with no light cover in place. Our deadbolt didn't work on the front door. The chain lock screws were loose in the frame. We didn't use the internet so can't say if it worked or not. The pool was small but clean. The spa was heated but the jets didn't turn on. No shade, just one small broken umbrella at a table. The hot breakfast was adequate but on a Sunday morning there was very little room to eat and we took our food back to the room. Very crowded area. The soda vending machine doesn't take dollar bills and the front desk doesn't carry change. The location wasn't close at all to restaurants. Most were about 10-15 min away. The area is very industrial. The hotel is set up like a motel and we were on the bottom floor. There was lot's of noise if anyone was walking on the level above between rooms.

we swam in the pool to relax in the heat but i kept feeling a ball of hair touching me. The hut tub had a green tint to the water. The front desk clerk wasn't very socialable. The rooms were clean, no bugs, but super hot when we got there, took forever to get them to cool down. Super far from the beach, was my fault for not seeing that this wasn't the area I was looking for, but wasn't a lot of people so was pretty quiet which was a huge plus!!!

when we first got to our room the tv do not work fixed immediatley other then that no problems at all

pool was not open had to be cleaned but we just went to relax and get out of san antonio. we would stay there again. i was very happy to get a room at the last minute.

For our business meeting the hotel was well positioned. Poll and rooms were clean, staff was courtious. We actually made a mistake booking this location, however the staff was very helpful and we decided to stay and would do so again!

I will not use Orbitz services again due to my first and last experience with this company. I paid $30 more for the same room per night than our other family members who came on the trip with us and got the same rooms as us. I got a smoking room when I requested a non-smoking room, I have two children ages 4 and 5. My wife and I are not smokers. Your agent told me that this Quality inn was 4.7 miles away from the USS Lexington and the Quality inn ended up being around 10 miles one way. Thanks but no thanks I will next time use another travel company.

EVEN THOUGH WE STAYED ONE NIGHT IT WAS A VERY CLEAN AND PLESENT STAY. WE PLAN ON USING THIS HOTEL NEXT VIST.

I was a little disappointed with this hotel. Because there were no nearby restaurants, we were hoping to keep some snacks/drinks in the fridge, but it didn't work. It was being defrosted and water was seeping into the carpet. The sink would not completely shut off and was dripping. After coming back from the beach we found that our hotel key did not work the 2nd night of our stay. We had to lug all our beach stuff back downstairs to the office. Plus, they were painting the hotel and parking spaces and stairs were blocked for a while. Unfortunately, the paint fumes were coming into our room. The staff was nice, though, and breakfast was a nice bonus.
