Rodeway Inn Corpus Christi

I will never stay at this hotel again. Let me qualify this: I travel extensively for business, and spend approximately 80 nights a year at hotels. I simply ask that the hotel be clean, quiet, and the staff if not friendly, at least competent. This hotel failed miserably on all 3 counts. The room was shabby (the chair cushion was ripped and worn; I feared to even put my suitcase down on it, never mind, sit on it.). The comforter, blankets, and sheets were all stained. Above the shower, there was a poor ceiling patch, measuring 2x2', that was covered in dark mold (and I'm not saying a little mildew in the corner. The entire area was moldy.) I booked a smoking room, and there were no ashtrays. When I went to the front desk to get one, I was informed that the coffee maker that was listed in the booking description was not available for a smoking room; they had been removed from all smoking rooms. The topper was the a/c unit though. When it turned on to cool the room, there was an ungodly clunking noise, that continued until the unit turned off, and 5 minutes after as it wound down. While I did not hear any noise from the other guests, it's hard to know if it was because they were actually quiet or if I couldn't hear them over the a/c unit. And last but not least, I can excuse seeing one bug in a room but the half dozen plus roaches I witnessed was inexcusable. I suffered through two nights here because I was unable to get a refund, having already booked and paid for the room online. DO NOT put yourself through this grief. Find a different hotel.

The room was dirty I had to by my own sheets.there was mold on the corner of the room and on the sink.the carpet was stained and dirty.just nasty.

it was average. it was not worth the money, it was over priced for what you get. it needed a more personal touch to the room, it was just basic. i have stayed in much nicer hotels for not much more than i paid for this room. i wont stay there again.

I liked my stay at this hotel the bed was big and I liked that Queen bed. and i liked that the pool did not close till 10:pm

The location is close to downtown and has easy and convenient access to Portland. I would definitely stay there again but I would hope I could get a nicer room. The ceiling needed a lot of work in my room and it was such an eyesore. The floor needed more thorough cleaning as I could still see a lot of debris. The bed was very comfy and clean.

We had never been to Corpus Christi before so we didn't know what to expect, The hotel was alittle run down looking from the outside but the rooms were clean. The price was reasonable for the room which included a microwave and a refrigerator.The staff was nice, It was a pleasant stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were average. Water pressure in shower was really good. Loved it. Clean towels always handy. Great coffee, bagels, danishes and waffles. Just no eggs or breakfast meats. But, still good. Location was just off the highway and behind a Valero gas staion which made it super convenient. Would stay again.

Went for a weekend getaway with friends. No complaints at all. Would book again. Stores, downtown, beach and attractions all close by.
