Howard Johnson Corpus Christi

My husband and I stayed there over the weekend for our springbreak. I booked this hotel and chose it over Super 8 Motel right by the beach because of the positive reviews on tripadvisors and the high rate (cost $159-$189/night). I thought with that price, it can't be a bad hotel/location. As soon as we arrived, I didn't want to come in. The location is bad, nothing there. On the exterior corridor, men were sat on the chairs in front of their rooms. The hotel is old, not new. I think they just redo the painting. The hallways looked dirty, water dripping from the ceiling; mud everywhere on the hallways from the first floor to the third floor. We booked a king size bed, they gave us a double bed. They said their hotel has only eight king size beds but four of them are for handicapped. Our comfortable had a piece of candy or something on it. The bathroom is dated and small. The pool is very small. Fitness area is very small with just 4 elliptical machines. Breakfast was ordinary continental breakfast with bagels, muffins, cereals, and fruits. If you're here to visit CC, then stay at somewhere in downtown/N. Shoreline because there is nothing else beside downtown area except industrial companies.
