Comfort Suites Central

This hotel was relatively close to everything 15-20 minutes from the beach. The beds were comfortable rooms were spacious restrooms were very clean. The only problems we had staying there was that the one elevator they have decided to break down so I had to carry all my heavy luggage up the stairs to the 3rd floor! Also, when he came back from eating it was pretty late at night almost all the parking was gone there were only like 3 spots left I'm not really saying to lot is small just wasn't big enough for the amount of residents (the hotel was 100% booked). Finally, the staff was pretty nice...even though they were young and some of them looked pretty shady although none of my things got stolen.

To start, the room was 89 degrees when I walked in the door. The A/C had been turned off since who knows when. It took 12 hours to cool the room down. The floor was covered in stains. The next morning I went to take a shower and the hot water was non-existent. ICE COLD. When my 3 year old went in to use the bathroom he came running out crying, Lodged in the air vent was the biggest roach I have ever seen in my life. When I called the front desk the attendant informed me they did not have a manager. They sent up a maintenance man who cursed in front of my child. We had to leave because my child was too afraid to use the bathroom. I called and wrote Comfort Suites and have received no reply. STAY AWAY! THIS PLACE WILL RUIN YOUR VACATION!!!

I liked almost the whole experience exept for the staff. That ruined it!! I woul've given this hotel a better review but both ladies that took care of us where beyond rude. I want to give this hotel a second chance but I am hoping they will have better staff when I return.

The hotel was centrally located from Corpus Christi to the South Padre Island beach. It was great and easy to locate. The hotel was clean, friendly staff and quiet. The continental breakfast is about the same as most hotels, but very good for our breakfast needs. We would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for Beach to Bay Marathon, we booked this hotel last minute. This hotel was hands down one of the nicest places Ive stayed in awhile. From the moment we walked in, you could tell that this place had class. We were checked in immediately and our room was spacious and our bed was extra comfortable. The breakfast was very good, the attendant working made sure all the breakfast items were plentiful for all the guests. I would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a nice place to stay for a great price!

As long as this place is run by the cleaning crew, we would strongly recommend not staying here. We are telling everyone we know to avoid this place like the plague. The cleaning people were rude and obnoxious to the point where they made as much noise as possible to make you vacate early so they could clean. It was as though they could leave for the day as soon as all the rooms were done and get paid the same amount. They were almost hostile. The front desk staff was clearly afraid of the cleaning crew. Our room was not cleaned for four days and because they were so nasty, we asked that our room not be cleaned the fifth day.

Had a very restfull night. The bed was awesome! Will definetly stay at this hotel again. It was quite and restfull.

Everything about the hotel was great with the exception of the air conditioning unit; the unit was not allowing the customer (me) to cool the room below 78 degrees, still too warm

This was the Best family vacation we could have ever asked for. The rooms were to die for, very spacious and nicely decorated. Our housekeeper, [...], was awesome. She took the care and time to make our daughters playpin up and set the boys teddy in the middle of their freshly made bed. It meant alot to us. The hotel was minutes from the beach and other sights, such as the USS Lexington and TX Aqurium. The kids enjoyed starting the day off with a good breakfast, the texas shaped waffles were a favorite. Overall the hotel was a 10 in our book.

We were really impressed by this hotel. There was 24 hour laundry available right outside our hotel room- which makes it really nice if you have wet clothes from the beach! The laundry detergent machine took my money and didn't give me soap, but the guys at the front desk took care of that for me with no problems. The room was clean, front desk staff was excellent, and the FREE- yes I said free- breakfast was top notch- and with Texas shaped waffles to boot! You will love this place. It's a great find for the money, and a great place for families. The only negative is that the hotel is located on a feeder road, so navigating out of the parking lot can be a little confusing at first.
