quick trip
The room was comfortable, no breakfast the next morning, burned coffee. The night's sleep was interrupted by over an hours worth of dragracing on the streets nearby The staff said they didn't hear anything, so nothing was done and no police were called. The pool was like a kiddies poll--very small. The snack area was clean and well stocked, and it was interesting to see an honor system being used. It was not a good night's rest with the noise. To get a good night's rest, request a room on the front of the building, not the back.

Excellent stay!
Took my wife and grandchildren on a weekend vacation before school started. All of us enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive, including the manager. The rooms were clean, and having teenagers, were happy to have a small kitchenette so we could make sandwiches, etc. Will certainly make a return trip.

Nice place, but bring your own ice.
Very nice room with full size fridge & microwave. Kitchen furnished with silverware, plates, cups & glasses. I just wish they had an ice machine. The fridge had an icemaker, but made only about 4 cubes overnight.

Right for the price
The staff was very helpful & friendly. The room was clean, with the exception of a pharaoh and infestation. The bed was comfy, although I had some trouble getting the heater going. That was most likely user error, though. The internet connected fine on WiFi. My wife's Ipad and my laptop worked fine on it with decent speed. They had an office with a printer for customer use, which I took advantage of. I would definitely come back. The bad: Low water pressure and pharaoh ants. The good: Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice bed, Flat Screen TV (Never turned it on, but I thought others might like to know), good internet connections, Printer and computer available to borrow, and workout room.

If you get a chance, go visit the South Texas Botanical Gardens. It's $6/person and worth the price. The butterfly garden is nice, and the cactus garden is well provisioned.

The Review to Read
I just came back from a vacation in Corpus and this trip will go down as one of the best of all time. As a child, my family use to take vacations to Corpus all the time. Seeing the sites, eating good food, catching live shows, a total family complete absorption of all which is Corpus. This tip was me going as an adult so it was a little different this time around but it's the same city as I remember as a child. . . . but better. What really made the trip memorable was the hotel. Everything was great and this hotel; it put the frosting on the cake. The staff was great, the maids were friendly and quite, the room was . . . . . . awww. . . . .super clean, flat screen TV, kitchen nets with pots and plates, pillow top mattress, the location was great. . . .at the intersection of the two Freeways (358 & 286. . .remember those) you will need to take to really see the Bay Area. I placed the 'No Service' tag on the door and the maid staff did not disturb. I like that! Have you ever been at a hotel where then totally ignore that tag? . . .I have. . .It's the worst. Not here my friend. Great value for the dollar, computer lab (Ethernet cable needed for in-room internet), a nice workout room, a pool that's in the sun 14hours of the day with no blockage (for you tanners). This is a true recommendation. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because it's not located on the beach and to get to the hotel is kinda tricky, you will have to familiarize yourself with the area and the turns you need to take to effectively get to and fro . I'm leaving out a lot of good details but you've read enough. . .Go! Go! Go! . . .Book It! Book It! Book It!

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
You you are planning a night out and want a nice special dinner. DO NOT! I repeat. DO NOT! Go to the Landry's Seafood house. Two hour wait for a totally over rated price and place. I saw people leave in an outrage at this place. It was crazy. The only thing that was good was the singer on the patio. She can really sing. . . .no no I take that back. . . She was sangin'.

Family Getaway
The grocery store items were a bit high compared to H.E.B., for example. We did like the kitchen to cook our own meals.

Convenient Location
This hotel is conveniently located at the intersection of two freeways. Drive north for 10 minutes and you are downtown and the Lexington aircraft carrier and the Texas Aquarium. Drive east for 15 minutes and you are at Padre Island. We stayed there during Spring Break and the prices were inflated because of break. Value wise, it was pricey, but it went with the large influx of students for the week. Normally, the prices are probably much better than what we had to pay. The hotel is extended stay so don't expect daily room cleaning, it only happens once a week. However, anything you need is cheerfully available at the front desk. The hotel is somewhat difficult to get to until you figure out the exits and approaches to the hotel. Be prepared to drive some distance to any restaurants. Outside of a hamburger fast food and a BBQ restaurant, there is nothing near by. This is also a hotel that caters to families. Expect young boys and girls to be running the halls with their dogs hollowing at the top of their lungs having a great time. If you don't mind that, it has a flavor of home. Staff was great, free laundry facilities, WiFi worked well, nice fitness center, and clean and well kept. Pool was small and outside so don't plan on using it if the weather isn't nice. Overall, a nice hotel.
