Can't beat the price

I was a little afraid at first....a hotel for $50 a night?? In a great downtown location? To good to be true!! We had a softball tournament in College Station and after finding this place I recommended it to several other parents on the team. The outside of the place is really nothing to look at but when you opened the door, it was a nice surprise. Very small, but also very nice and clean. It had just been remoldeled, and was a great place to spend the night at. We hung out by the pool, which was nice as well. Overall, I would recomend this place and will stay there again for future tournaments!!!!

This place is pretty basic. Clean rooms, good location and pleasant staff. Beds are not the mosy comfy but the complex was quiet and overall a good value for one or two nights.

Motel 6 College Station

I arrived early, but the rooms weren't ready. the lady behind the counter said no problem, we will have one ready in about 2 hours. I came back in that time, and was able to get into my room. Which was very clean and neat. Nice queen bed, flat screen tv. Very clean bathroom. Nothing lavish, but the light was left on for me. I enjoyed this stay. Didn't need all the fancy stuff, and was very confortable, staying by myself. $2.99 for a wifi, was very good too. Everyone was so nice. Thank you to all staff.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Everything was just a short drive away. Wal Mart, Sonic, Barnes and Nobels, Walgreens, CVS, etc... Which was great. I don't live there, so it was nice to be able to eat, shop, and play, so close to my hotel.

Great for graduation

Stayed for 2 nights for son's A&M graduation. Location to university was awesome, took 5 min to get to event. Staff was very nice and accomendating. Room was a bit noisy but motels normally are compared to hotels but the price made up for that.

Motel Six College Station

This has to be the worst Motel we have ever been in. VERY small. Only one narrow path between beds, up tight against the walls. No phone. No light in the bathroom and cold hard floors. Towels were nice. And, we paid $75.00 and the sign out front said $49.99.

adequate, not much more to say

obviously you don't expect a luxury experience at a place like this. It was adequate for a night. The room was spartan but very clean, no complaints at all about that. If you get a room along Texas Ave., expect a great deal of road noise. The rest of the motel is probably better, but from our room on 2nd floor along Texas, we could hear every vehicle passing, and it is a busy road! Location is good for Texas A&M events.

Clean but small

Room was very clean! Room was tight in room size and nothing too fancy!! A little overpriced due to game weekend! Good room to sleep and shower but no extras!! Would stay there again.

Great Place for a Quick "Game Day Getaway"

My boyfriend and I recently took our anniversary trip to College Station to see the A&M vs Baylor football game. We stayed at the Motel 6 off of Texas Avenue and it was so easy to find and so convenient. It was near all the shops and places to eat. The whole place was booked for this game but we didn't hear a thing! The place was very quite and kept clean. Our room had been remodeled so it actually looked different than what we saw in the picture online! (in a good way!) Our check in/out took a total of maybe 5 minutes tops! The staff was very friendly to all of us Aggie fans! All in all, it was a great place for us to stay for our little weekend trip! We will be be seeing ya'll sometime soon!

Cafe Eccel was delish!!! I looked online to see what the #1 place to eat and it kept coming up as a local fav! I got my own pizza (which I still had plenty more to snack on later) which I got to add my own toppings and it was made in a stone oven (those always taste better). My boyfriend ordered the "Voodoo Salmon" and he loved it! I'm so not a seafood person but this one was so good!! We topped it off with a few drinks and had a great time. There was a little wait but only because it's so good! It was a little pricey but great food! It's within walking distance to "Northgate" bar area so find parking around there and you can just walk to all the different places.

Great game day value

Staff was courteous when we arrived. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable enough for a one night stay and shower was hot. Hotel was quiet for a game day weekend. All much appreciated.

Nice Stay

Nothing to complain about. The ladies working at the desk was nice, the room was clean and the location was fine. The only thing I didn't like, however, was the fact that the price doubles when there is an A&M game. Felt a bit gouged...
