Great for business overnights
Ten minutes after I was in the room the front desk called to make sure everything looked ok and see if I needed anything! The room was very clean and simple for an over night business trip. I plugged in the frig and by the time I got back from the store it was nice and cool! I hope it stays great because I plan on using it again!

very disappointed
Had not been back to aggieland in 5 years and it ruined our weekend. Very poor management in regards to taking care of noise problems when they assured me they would alleviate the party next store. Way overvalued for the rate we paid. I will not visit this howard johnson hotel again. Charge 1.50 for tube of toothbrush if you forget it. Never heard of that travesty before... very rude front desk manager in the morning...

Undesirable Motel
We had to switch rooms twice. The first time because our room backed up to a truck loading dock. The noise was very loud. The second room had a strong mold/mildew smell. The room we settled in was not clean - there was toothpaste in the sink. The staff came and cleaned quickly - and we appreciated that. Thank goodness we only stayed one night.

Convenient Location
We were in College Station to visit family. This property is conveniently located for our needs. It is old and out of date. The carpeting had recently been replaced but there isn't much one can do to up-date the small cramped bathroom. The wlfl was free and a minimal breakfast was provided. My wife says I have to do better next time.

Good price for a good value hotel
I enjoyed my stay and didn't have to pay alot for it! Staff was really nice. Lady called and gave a courtesy call to make sure if everything was ok and if I needed anything....i was impressed! I already booked a room at this hotel next month which I return to College Station for some work.

You get what you pay for!
In an effort to save money, I went with a cheaper hotel, which I now regret. The room was not clean, dust and grime in many places. The breakfast options were 2 kinds of cereal, bread, tasteless pastries, or a waffle. There was only one coffee option. At checkout, the employee tried to charge me more than was quoted. Just save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else!

Unclean
The rooms were dirty and the sheets were stained. We also found cockroaches and crickets in the room. The management was also terrible, they tried to charge us an extra fee because they didn't believe our [...]deal was credible.Bottom line is I got what I paid for...

Not So Great
Not so great--we checked in at about 12:30 am and the whole process was horrible. You have to check in outside and talk through the little sliding drawer so you can't hear that well. We got a girl who had only worked there two days so everything was slow--which was fine until they didn't have our second day reservation. After that it all went down hill. The key machine wouldn't work so she finally gave us a master key (who does that?) which we kept for two days. Then we had to find the room ourselves because she couldn't tell us where the room was located. Inside the room, it was very basic and the tv had a horrible picture. I went in knowing not to expect much since it was cheaper, but the tv was a huge disappointment. Also, the mini fridge was very noisy.

My stay at HOJO
I am a nurse....I picked this hotel because it's one of the closest one to the College Station Medical center. I was happy with my stay because the rooms were nice and quiet for a good night sleep I needed. Breakfast was also good. I enjoyed their hot waffles....fresh and yummy. Overall I was satisfied with my stay here.

Enjoyed my stay
Upon check-in and check out time, front desk was really friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. I enjoyed the free breakfast and high speed internet which I needed to do some office work. Simply, a great deal at a great price!! Will stay here again if my future plans bring me to College Station, TX.
