Nice location

The Hotel Was Good, not Great...
The hotel staff was helpful, but I had trouble when checking in due to a conflict between the hotel and Orbitz (booking site). This has happened to me twice now where the Orbitz paymeny card doesn't work for the hotel and there are issues getting checked in. Other than that I'd stay here again, for sure.

Hawthorn Suites
I really appreciated the friendlyness of the staff, they were very helpful and seemed always in a good mood. This made it very'family-like'. The rooms were very good isolated, you could not hear other clients. Since I was there for a congress and had to prepare my presentation, I especially appreciated that aspect.

Not good
Bathroom was not clean when we arrived. Second day no one cleaned the room. I called the front desk and let them know and also sad we had no towels. I was told to come down to the desk and pick some up. This was irritating. Then we discovered a large roach under the kitchen sink. This was a bad experience...

Chilifest Goer
Just an OK experience.
Stayed here for Chilifest 2010. The hotel was just average and OK. The beds were comfortable. We had a problem with kids running the halls and making alot of noise, and the hotel staff didn't seem to show urgency to stop this from happening.

Great price, but got what I paid for
Great price and great location near the A&M Campus and close to many good resturants. However, the plumbing was fairly noisy and the beds both rolled you to the center. The matrisses probably need to be replaced. The staff was fantastic. The cold and toast itmes for breakfast were good, but I wouldn't recommend the hot breakfast.
