Budget hotel near shopping and restaurants
Just north of downtown Brownsville, the Motel 6 Brownsville is conveniently located off U.S. 77, near shops and restaurants and a short drive to Matamoros, Mexico, or South Padre Island. When I got to the motel, I informed them that my son was unable to come with me. I had booked two beds at $51. When I told them about my son not coming, they lowered the price to a single and gave me the same room. It was an enjoyable stay. Thanks, Robert

Little Angel
Great for the whole family
I really enjoyed the cleanliness and friendly staff at this hotel. My children enjoyed the pool. The room was extremely comfortable.

Looks and smells moldy
When we first walked into the room we were instantly hit with a musky moldy smell. There was mold growing on the shower curtain. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There was hair on our towels. The staff was very friendly and the room was less than half the cost of the rooms on South Padre Island, which was a half hour drive away.

Overall experience at Motel 6
I liked the location and staff. The motel was missing certain stuff, like an iron, blow dryer and maybe a coffee maker. I stayed in alot of hotels, so didn't bring an iron, big mistake!! The room smelled humid, all the time we were there, we had to open the window, to make it more confortable.

Try el ultimo taco close by and delicious. Also Jack in the Box for breakfast or waffle house, for dining in.

One great day vacation
Good seating plans and aceesos the hotes, and very secure. When I get well looked after, and respected the price, all very clean, the pool clean. We had so much fun that we left the hotel.

In Hotel
Brownsville, Texas, is a small town but the hotel is close to all shops, the zoo, and near the beach. Brownsville has its own beach boca chica on the street, and very near to the Padre Island but much cheaper and comfortable.

Had to change to 3 different rooms. 1st one wasn't ready and smelled. 2nd one no refrig ,microwave, or coffee. 3rd up graded to a Studio to get those for an added cost. Charge of 2.99 for internet. No breakfast at all. Others in area give more for the money. Room was clean and air worked.
