really really impressed
I didn't expect much when i booked this hotel but wow was i impressed. Rooms were big and comfortable. TV had like a billion channels. Decent breakfast and also had dinner available with drinks (including beer and wine). Staff was ridiculously nice. Location was next to pretty much anything you'd need in Brownsville. Will definitely stay here again.

There are lots of franchise restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. However, the best food in town are with the local mexican food places. Try out El Ultimo Taco on Price Road right on the highway. Great tacos.

Very good experience
Excellent place to stay. Staff was the best. Everything was a great experience. Plenty of restaurants close by and a lot of shopping areas to choose from. Easy access to main roads. Con: The beds were a bit hard for us older folks.

You could not ask for anything more- next to a shopping area, plenty of restaurants, felt very comfortable at the hotel

Latin Jazz Festival
We went for the Latin Jazz Festival. We expected to see more activities. It was not worth taking the long trip for what we saw, Poncho Sanchez was very good as usual.

Great Stay
Even though I am familiar with Brownsville, we still managed to go right past the hotel. The sign is so tiny compared to the other hotels in the area. But, after we arrived, everything was great! All the front desk staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was better than I was expecting for the price. The pool looked inviting. And breakfast was delicious.

Padre Visitors
Very good choice for us
Good service, front desk staff gave good directions to get to S Padre Island. Good location for S Padre Island visitors. Cheaper price for a better quality hotel than most of the ones on the island. Only a < 30 min drive each way to the island. Allowed us to escape the night time party crowds on the island and return to a peaceful hotel. Great breakfast every morning.

Pleasantly Surprised
I had never stayed at a Hampton Inn, and did not really know what to expect.. I was pleasantly surprised. The room smelled like fresh linens and clean. The bedding was so soft and cozy, I felt right at home. Throughout the hotel, everything was clean and sanitary. The breakfast bar served both warm and cold dishes. . and it was a great selection. The staff was courteous and welcoming. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
