The AC until didn't really cool the room that well. The beds were extra firm, and there was mold and mildew build up somewhere in that room. I know because I'm severely allergic to both. I left there with a severe sinus infection! I'm just lucky
it didn't cause an asthma attack too! I will not be staying at that hotel again! And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.
By the time we decided to come to Homecoming, everything in Waco was booked. This hotel was comfortable and adequate for our purposes. The room was clean, however there was a bad smell. It was supposed to be non-smoking, but it smelled of stale
cigarettes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although we didn't use the pool, it looked neat and clean too.
We found out that we would need to be in Waco for Baylor homecoming with only a couple of months notice. Every hotel was booked for miles around except for this one so we booked it. We had never stayed in a Motel 6 and envisioned the worst. We
were pleasantly surprised. The rooms had been redone very recently - including the pluming fixtures/shower which were brand new. Even the linen seemed to be new. The room was very small and of course, didn't have a microwave, refrigerator, or even a blow dryer, but then we didn't expect it to for the price. All we were doing there was sleeping so it was fine for our purposes. (And we could stay there for three nights for the price of one night at the Fairfield Inn where we normally stay, which is just 200 yards down the road.)
For the $49.99 we paid for this room it was a good value. It gave us a place to spend the night. The flat-screen TV was great and the room looked really nice and clean. The A/C clicked on and off all night so that kept us awake as did the
not-so-comfortable bed. It was like trying to sleep on a fold-out couch. All in all though the room served our purpose for one night. It would not be worth more than the $49.99 though.

Heitmiller's Restaurant and The Veranda Gift Shop are an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Their Hurricane drink is really good and the food is top notch with a good variety.
I went to Baylor homecoming and needed a place to sleep for the night. The location and the hotel are very... well... it's a Motel 6 in a poor part of Waco. The only real complaint is the bed. It reminded me of sleeping on concrete it was so hard.
The bathroom was clean (for the most part) but had seen some action in the past.
