Got the job done...

We used this room as a stopover after seeing a concert in Houston. Nothing special, it was fine for what it was. Bathroom was kind of dirty (soap scum), but other than that it was OK.

$59 for this?

A former motel, not a jewel in the crown of La Quinta. Room smelled smokey, lacked chain lock. Very noisy location - lots of vehicles going fast nearby and room isn't exactly soundproof. Some would describe the location as 'dicey'. I'd almost go as far as calling it 'semi-scary'. Breakfast was surprisingly nice and had several good options and was included in price of room. But, I would never, ever stay there again.

Not a bad place to stay

We chose this hotel basically for the location, and that was excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. The pillows were horrible - bring your own if you can. The only complaints I have is that the bathroom faucet was loose and the shower was really hard to turn on. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Perfect for the price.

not so clean

The towels had bugs in them, dirty carpet and a stale smelling room. Not the best of experiences. The staff was great however. Just the building needs a whole lot of love.

Very satisfied

reading other reviews I had some reservations about staying here but the price was right so we thought we would try anyway. Staff was absolutely the most helpful that I've seen in a while. Knew area and was able to answer all questions, went out of their way to explain time of breakfast and what was being served. Called me by name anytime I was in lobby or called from room. Needed some documents printed and they found away for this to happen. In the past I have stayed at premium hotels and received lesser service.

It was okay!

This was one of those 2 story La Quinta Inns so when me and my wife checked in, we were told we couldn't get a room on the 1st floor, even though we had reservations. So we went to the room on the 2nd floor and couldn't get the keycard to open the door. We both tried for a good 5 minutes. I went back to the lobby to inform them of the problem and was givien keycards for a different room, this time on the first floor. Once we were in the room, everything was okay. The room was clean and comfortable.

Overnight stay

This hotel fitted my needs for an overnight stay. Need to do a little better with the continental breakfast. ran out of food two fast. Went down about 0700 and they were out of orange juice and no more was put out. Ended up eating at the McDonald's across the street.
