Knights Inn Beaumont

This was the worst Hotel; I've ever stayed in. Room smelled like mold, in spite of construction. We had to move rooms twice. The girl at the front desk when I checked was not helpful, it was the evening clerk that moved us twice. I DO NOT recommend this location. It was too expensive for such a horrible place.

I needed an inexpensive place to stay near the interstate and this was perfect. It looked nice from the outside despite being next to a truckstop. The rooms needed some updates and repairs. Things were fairly clean.

The bathroom was not clean. The hand rails attached to toilet were rusty and the seat was nasty looking. The building was cracked and settling all around the rooms. The supports outside our room was in horrible shape.

Grateful that bed was clean and comfortable but wish we could have levitated over filthy carpet to get into it. Room reeked of cig smoke and mildew. Big sopping wet patch in front of handbasin was probably leaking water pipe as only stank of carpet mildew rather than sewage. Bathroom fairly grimy in way that speaks of regular superficial cleaning but longterm neglect. Tv remote didn't work. Cheap but don't believe it's two-star rating. Rat baits outside door should be a clue.

Ellen provided exceptional service in looking through rooms to find a working hair dryer. It would be helpful if a working hairdryer could be always available to be checked out from the office, when the one in the room is broken. Light bulbs for all lamps would be helpful.

The hotel was not good at all even for the cheap price we paid. The hotel rooms we had all had a very strong horrible odor. It smelled as if something had died in the room and no one found the carcass until weeks later.

The hotal looks over a truck-stop. The first room that they gave me had not been cleaned after the prior guest had left. The next room had paint peeling from the walls and ther interior of the shower stall. There was no coffee pot in the room. One of the bed-side lamps was broken. And, I was propositioned by a truck-stop prostitute as I was leaving my room.

Well they gave us a room with someone already in it,we had to go to the front desk and get another room, then they gave our room to someone else and they had to go back to the front desk and get another room, we did not get a queen size bed, the paint was peeling off the shower walls. Don't think I would suggest this place to anyone else, we have stayed at several in Beaumont and they were really great compared to this place. Where it was located was great only 10 miles from where we were visiting, I think that was the only good part about the whole event
