We had a good experience at the hotel. The size of the room was great. The bathroom was very clean. I think the comfortors ... needed to be cleaned and under the bed...I dropped my phone and felt lots of stuff on the floor. The continental breakfast was good and I thought the staff was super friendly. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Decent, but noisy due to interstate

The hotel was a convenient stop mid-way from Louisiana to Austin, TX with a 4 year old. The room was clean, but the bathtub ... was in need of work as even with the drain plug pushed down, the water drained out while you were bathing. The carpet needed some work as well. The pool was in front of the hotel and near the traffic of the interstate and there were a lot of construction workers there which deterred us from taking our little one out to the pool. The interstate traffic was loud, but the air onditioner drowned out some of the noise. The check-in/out went off without a hitch and the location was really good with access back to the interstate and also area restaurants. I would recommed a stay at this hotel if you are only staying over a night or so.

If you want to recommend a hotel in Beaumont, TX to your worst enemy, the Howard Johnson is it. For your friends, please send ... them elsewhere. The Howard Johnson is run-down, dirty, and otherwise unappealing.

small but clean

This is a small property right off of Interstate 10 in midtown and easy to access. It is very clean and the staff was ... cordial. While it has to restaurant, it is a short distance from several. I did not use the pool so I can't comment on it.
