Baymont Inn and Suites Beaumont

When I checked in Monday afternoon, I gave the manager my name and that I had booked using [...]. He said oh here you are a King smoking I said "no a king nonsmoking" He then preceded to check me into a smoking room and asked for my credit card, I said again "I booked thru [...]" He debited my card for $299 dollars when I caid that it should be $219. I think then it finally dawned on him I had booked thru [...]he then had to refund the money and gave me a key that didnot open the room my guess was the key to the smoking room so I had to go back to the desk and get another key. So much for effcient checkin.

This is a newer hotel and so the room is in fantastic shape and the place is extremely clean. The bed (the most important part of the stay) was very comfortable and made very nice. The internet was easy to get on. Rooms had refrig and microwave (I did not use). Lobby looks great. However, the staff made the place feel cheap. I don't think I saw one smile. No one said "hello". I did not feel welcomed and they called me at 11:05 while I was packing to tell me that check-out was at 11AM (I had thought check-out was at 12noon like normal places). I think the staff needs lessons in courtesy. But, I would stay here again because of the room. I just hope they realize the can make the experience better by actually welcoming their guest.

Hotel is new qnd the room was cleaned and well maintained. When I arrived the Manager of the hotel checked me in himself and made note that if I planned on staying there the next week he could beat [...] price. I said that my assignment was going to last several months and I could be a regular guest. When I went to check out I was going to book for next week and at that time he quoted a price of $50/night plus tax which is more than what I paid [...]. I asked him what about the "deal" he was going to cut me since I plan to be in the area a long time and He said he never offer such a proposal. [...] He is not a very wise business man and I was really upset that he lied when he said "he never offered a better deal [...]."

The Baymont is a new facility. It was clean and quiet. I was in Beaumont to visit an inmate at the federal prison and this motel was VERY convenient to the connecting street to the prison about 5 miles out of the city. The Baymont was worth the price of the room. We had a continental breakfast and at times fresh fruit. Got USA Today. Small outdoor pool which is not very deep. Good mattresses. Pillows a bit hard. I was pleased with the quality.
